No, we do not recommend mixing hot liquids of any kind in this bottle. Hot or warm liquids may build up pressure within the bottle and cause the cap to open unexpectedly and spray contents.

I don’t have the other model, but it appears that the pour spout on that one lifts up off of the spout? This one does a small twist to screw open or closed. I’ve had two of these for several months. Use both almost every day. Hand wash and dishwasher wash them and they are still like new. Love them!
