Hello, you can see in the last 2 pictures, there is a plug at the tub buttom, when you want to drain the water, please open the plug, the water will comes out, if you want to drain the water to specific place, before fill water into the tub please contact the hose, because after fill water it will very heavy and can not install the hose, hope can help you, thank you.

Usually the drain like sink is at a higher gravitational potential so does this come with a drain pump ?

No it drains through the bottom plug. It also collapses after a day full of water. Had two and sent them back for refund.
