This classic flavor is quite delicious. You don’t often find floral scented candies anymore.

These candies, from France, are absolutely delicious. Mine were fresh- still really crisp with no tackiness to them at all.They are a little pricey for hard candy, but acceptable given that it is very hard to find high quality flower-scented (violet, in this case) candies in the United States.These shipped really, really fast- like, I had them in a few days.The only drawback to my experience is that the candies looked like they had taken a beating in transit. Lots of bits of broken hard candy at the bottom of the jar, along with "candy dust" that comes from hard candies being whacked around in their container too long. They had been wrapped in a piece of bubble wrap, but there was extra room in the shipping box for the jarto roll around. Maybe more bubble wrap and/or a smaller box next time? Unless they were damaged en route from the producer to the distributor, rather than from the distributor to me?Bottom line, excellent all around, with the exception of some "rough" handling- perhaps more so than usual due to high holiday package volume. I'd definitely buy this product, from this seller, again.

Potential buyers, beware! Read the negative reviews! I remember growing up with violet hard candies. Different brand of course. They were delightful, aromatic, not overly sweet. Just the perfect little candy to make you happy. When I saw these, of course I wanted to remember my childhood treat. Only, I was too bitterly brought to the reality of a poor product. The moment I removed the lid from the jar, I realized what a colossal mistake this purchase was. The smell that came out of the jar was that of stale grease - heavy, gut punching, dry heave inducing kind of smell. Threw them in the garbage right away.....no chance I would have put one in my mouth or let any of my family try them either.UPDATE: I wish I had read the negative reviews before rushing to purchase these. I am editing my review to point out that the staleness of this product was mentioned in reviews as early as 2015. THIS IS AN OLD PRODUCT. UNSAFE for human consumption. Amazon should remove the listing.

It arrived in a glass jar, covered in bubble wrap, but it was cracked. Although the candy smells great and the violet flowers look beautiful, the business owners should change the container to one that is plastic or more secure, because the one they send is very fragile! Otherwise, I think they do an excellent job with those violet candies.

Usually, violet candies taste overwhelmingly of clove and I'm not here for that medicinal flavor. These, though? Perfect. Just a little tangy, not too sweet, and amazing floral flavor.

Pretty but has some citric acid that I taste more than violets.

I was hesitate because of the reviews, but they turned out great! Jar was intact, no broken bits, taste, texture, sweetness, violet -taste… all met my expectations!
