Fantastic crimper works great does not damage the heat shrink and is very easy to release if you start to clamp down in the wrong position would definitely buy again

AWESOME AND AT A GOOD PRICE POINT. ONLY THING IS I USE A LOT OF THE CLEAR CONNECTORS SO I TOOK MINE TO THE GRINDER AND SHORTENED THE LOCK BETWEEN THE RED AND BLUE TO GET THE CORRECT CRIMP FOR THE CLEAR CONNECTORS.. WORK GREAT FOR ME NOW.

Does excellent work! I use this on both standard nylon crimp connectors and heat shrink connectors and this tool makes a perfect crimp every time! I only wish the little release lever was more accessible. When the crimper is closed all the way, there's hardly any room to get a finger in to push up on the little release lever. However, I've noticed other similar style crimpers seem to be made like this so maybe there's no choice with this. Edit: One thing I've found is that the crimping tool doesn't work on right angle terminals because the crimp part of the connector is too short for the crimping jaws to grab. There may be another way to do I'm not aware of or another jaw insert needed or maybe it was the particular brand of terminal I tried to use but the result is that I couldn't use it. Otherwise my original review still stands and this crimping tool is awesome on all other straight terminals. Next edit: I found these jaw inserts for 90 degree flag terminal connectors here on Amazon: "Pro'sKit 300-070 Lunar Series Die Set for Insulated Flag Terminals", that work well and fit right in. Just have to be careful removing the little screws holding the original insert in. The maker really puts them in tight! I almost mushed up the head of one of the screws trying to remove one of them. Then I had to figure out the proper way to insert the terminal into the crimper. Good thing another reviewer posted a photo on the other insert's page. Now theses crimpers are completely awesome and should handle just about anything I'll use them for.

Works much better than a lot of the other brands. Not cheap, but well worth it.

Received it yesterday evening, looks and feel like a quality build product, I also purchased a can of Wirefy yellow #10 fork terminal connectors, decided to make one just to see how it works, ratchet action is smooth and positive it makes a very smooth tight crimp once I apply heat around the heat shrink, the entire connector becomes a very rigid connection is solid and very professional looking. I then decided to use a regular nylon fork terminal on this crimper, to see if it works, bad idea, reason being even though they look the same they’re not the same, the non-heat shrink type connector is thicker, so when pressure is apply to the crimper the connector starting to expand you will never able to put enough pressure to complete the ratcheting cycle, now I’m stuck in that position, luckily after looking at it for a while I realized between the handles on the inside there is a release lever, once I put enough pressure on the handles I was able push the lever up to get the ratchet action to open that in turn pop open the jaws. So here’s the take away, remember the old saying “use the right tool for the job”, this crimper is design specifically for heat shrink type connectors, and works perfectly! So don’t use any other type of connectors. If you have never use a crimping tool before watch the video, it show you exactly how. I have also attached some photos so you can see the difference, the one on the left is Wirefy connector and right is not. Hope this helps.
