Seems like the price is a little steep for basically a washer
Perhaps 5/8" ID and 1" OD are not standard for any washers, I don't know. But although this item fits and functions as advertised, I think that if it is a standard size a hardware store washer would serve just as well. That said, I suppose I could have gone to the hardware store, so that's on me.

This will make a shopsmith blade fit a 5/8" arbor
Ive never used a bushing in a blade and thought it was kind of scary honestly. But this is such a great fit i feel confident that its not going anywhere. I have 10 unused shopsmith blades with 1 1/4" arbor, but i prefer my delta, So this saved me alot of money, especially since my shopsmith blades are a lot more high end than the cheaper diablo, black and decker, blades on the market.

Electric lawn mower blade bushing
Replacement blades with a 7/8" mounting hole that fit my older Craftsman electric mower are no longer available. I was able to keep my mower going using an available blade with a 1"mounting hole and this bushing...worked out great - saved the day. Dropped right in, dimensions are as advertised.*****

Perfect fit
I recently bought a 12” spider saw blade for my table saw. The arbor screw on m saw was 5/8” but the arbor hole on the blade was 1”. This item fit perfectly and so I’m back in business! Thanks

Used it to reduce the 1 inch hole of a lawnmower blade to 7/8
Like others who reviewed this product, I used it to reduce the hole on a lawnmower blade from 1 inch to 7/8. I also have a Black & Decker CMM1000 lawnmower which uses a non-standard 7/8 inch hole. I've been searching for a replacement blade for a while without success. This adapter allowed me to use a blade with a 1 inch hole. This was a hard to find part, so even though this thing probably only costs 3 cents to make, I broke down and paid the $8 to get it. I couldn't find it in any hardware store. When I told the "helpful hardware man" what I needed, he looked at me like I grew a third eye in my forehead. I'm glad I was able to find it on Amazon.

It fits but it is expensive.
I chose this one from Freud because I assumed with the Freud name connected to it, it should fit.And it fits. I have some 30mm blades I could not use and now I can.

Spacer is too thin
I used this adapter to use a 14” fiberglass reinforcement blade on my chop saw.Due to the configuration of my saw’s shaft, I didn’t work to keep it on the shaft as it was to thin.I modified a washer that was thicker and this works fine.

Does exactly what it's designed to do!
So as a novice to these things and having never owned a sliding miter saw before, I bought a few blades on Amazon at a great price for my new saw. They were marked as 1" arbor and the online description of my miter saw indicated a 1" fitting.Unfortunately for me, the online description was incorrect and my blades at their great price appeared to be useless to me and destined for return. Even worse was that blades with a 5/8 fitting were more than twice the price for one than I had paid for this 2-pack, so I was disappointed.Luckily for me, I decided to see if there was an adapter of some kind before I returned the blades, and I came across this. With a little dedication and time I was able to get this flush into the blade and carefully put onto the saw. Once in place, this appears to be as functional as a properly fitting blade. It DID take me a few tries as I kept accidentally knocking the adapter out while trying to place it on the saw, and I needed to be able to place the blade flat in order to put the adapter back in securely.Once locked into place, this is working perfectly for me over numerous cuts. If you are the type to change your blade often, however, I would recommend you just buy the blades that fit properly, as this will make blade changes tedious. If you're a weekend hobbiest like me though that will likely leave the same blade on for a very long time, this saved me from having to return and buy different blades.
