It's an animal!
This machine is a beast. Out of the box, it was very tight. Had to take off the covers, oil it, run for 8 minutes (with varying speed), let it sit for an hour, repeat (oil each time) apx 8 times before it started to loosen up. I was able to put an 8 tooth gear on the motor (stock is 11) and that allows it to move nice and slow. After one rather complicated auto seat (bench, buckets, center console) it is thoroughly broken in and runs very well. Be aware that there are no 'set-it-and-forget-it' protections on this.. you have to adjust presser foot tension and thread tension with changes to material and thickness. I used DEX 90 thread with the included needles with good results. It's not fancy, it's not easy.. just a strong, simple work horse. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Great Machine right out of the box. Needs a few things updated
It’s definitely heavy duty! It is loud! But it works great. I used it right out of the box as soon as it arrived. It does sew fast but that’s ok, I have no problem with the speed. And mine did come with a bobbin case as well as extra bobbins and a small tool box and thread standEdit...No spring load shank, had to really work on getting the pressure right so that it would hold the fabric in place. I agree the manual is awful. There are two feet included but I have no idea what size they are. Overall I am getting the job done. I will post when I’m finished with my project.

This machine requires maintenance from the go
Opened box machine was inside down, no cover. Set it up, oiled etc. went to sew and it would jam on impact. Pully wheel had to be adjusted, tensioner does not work, walking foot did not work. We had to open too panel and found screws not tightened, some not attached at all. This machine was almost 500$ and we had to make many adjustments. When we finally had everything set we went to try it again per instructions and it still would not sew 4 oz leather. Not satisfactory at all. Would not recommend this seller

Great Machine!
I previously reviewed this machine and stated that it needed more low speed torque, but it turns out that after the break-in period it sews great. To speed up break-in, I oiled everything liberally and ran the machine at various speeds without thread for 8 minutes in 7-8 different sessions, re-oiling each time, allowing the motor to cool in-between (I don't think the motor actually got hot, but it was simply precaution.). You'll notice that the oil run-off will turn grey with fine metal flakes. This is normal for any machine including new cars. The machine has always produced perfectly accurate stitches (2 to four layers of mid-weight leather) and would do so at high speeds, but now it does the same perfect stitches at really low speeds, which is what I needed. In fact, I can now bump the pedal and fire out one stitch at a time, which is great for sewing around tight curves on very expensive leather upholstery pieces. So approximately 18,000 stitches in, I have had NO needle breaks, NO bobbin skips and only about 2 thread breaks which were not the machine's fault, with all the stitches being extremely consistent in terms of both length and spacing.

Good value walking foot sew machine - but need mods to slow it down
For the price, i expected some tweaking and modifications on this machine for it to work as expected (heavy duty sewing). First things first ( as per advise taken from previous users of these china made walking foot sewing machine) open up the machine and oil it liberally). Then first time running the machine, it sews to fast for me. I believe a sailrite monster flywheel would be an ideal solution but to expensive for me. So if you could not afford to modify it with the monster flywheel, i do not recommend you buy this machine. I do not know if the monster flywheel is an easy mod on this machine, but previous buyer already did this modification so pls read his review. For me I'm 3d printing my flywheel for me. A few more iteration i should have a working 3d printed flywheel custom made for this machine. One note: the belt seems misaligned but it is necessary for the belt to stay in place.

Missing parts, repacked or prior returned. Good sewing machine, seller not so good.
A third party seller. No phone number or email to contact them. Dont recommend. I bought a Consew CP206RL. The price was good and the shipping was fast. The item was double boxed and looked new. Once I opened the item the Styrofoam was broke up. I didn't think of it at first, since coming from China. I noticed metal circle glued on the back. I know that's for a aftermarket magnetic light. I know that doesn't come it from the factory. I notice sticker adhesive on the handle and other parts of the machine. The petal was repacked and missing a rubber piece. The shuttle slide was missing. I attempted to contact seller with no avail. I contacted Consew. They said to contact seller. I used Amazon service center. They helped me for about 30 minutes and was very helpful but only can recommend returning the machine. This thing is very heavy. Not going to waste time repacking it and driving 45 minutes to return for a 20 dollar part. After the machine is oiled and warmed up it works as intended with no issues. I recommend spend a few extra dollars some where else commany that includes a case in your order. Going to order the part and no use this company again.

Ok by itself but once modified it's a great machine.
Machine was just ok out of the box, easy to thread. Sewing through vinyl was good until you tried to slow down or stop, then it would act erratically groaning (not moving) causing you to hit the pedal harder. Then the machine takes off at almost full speed. The addition of the Sailrite Monster 2 Flyweel helped, but the gamechanger was adding the Worker B motor / controller assembly from Sailrite. Now the machine preforms flawlessly, it's a powerhouse of a motor and starts as slow as I want. At its slowest speed it about 1/2 stich per second or slower.

Good price point for CP206RL but expect to spend a lot of time /money on upgrades
I had high hopes for the sewing machine. It just had too many little adjustments that had to be done. I was also expecting a little better quality workmanship. Good value for the price point but if you are looking for an out of the box solution this is not your machine. The machine has a lot of exposed working parts and should come with some type of box, case or bottom cover.
