A very handy assistant it is compact and easy to transport.

I'l start by saying that I really like this desktop easel. It is sturdy and well-made. I have used the two middle positioning slots and they work well. In these positions the board was comfortable to use, steady in its mounting, and it did not move around the table. (Admittedly I did not try to push it too hard.) The only down side is with the description: as other users have said, the outside slots are useless for me. The upper one is vertical, which I can't imagine ever using. The lowest one is horizontal, which is equally pointless as you would be better just using the table top or a drawing board.

This was fine for the money, robust and fit for purpose. Anyone complaining about the lower joint simply hasn't realised that this is a form of locking for carrying and for working flat. It's supposed to be like that! Duh...It's a nice piece of wood, so I may polish it for when I'm not working on something, since it's visible. Recommended

Oddly enough I gave mine away along with a standing easel. Regretted it immediately. Very happy to find and buy it again. I love it. Very nice and practical and looks good.
