Steering by Starlight

this book took more than a month 45 days to reach me after purchase when i got to know the book would take that much time i tried to cancel, spoke the managers, who told me it would come in earlier but instead they all disappeared, and finally the book arrived, , its not even the original book, its a print out version, and the worst part i have not ended reading the book cause the print was so bad, waste of money, and super stupid amazon customer service if anyone wants to get this book take it from me foe free but dot waste your money on this doubt standard

I've read a ridiculous number of self help books; I eat them up like candy. And most of them have at least one or two useful points, although by now they're all starting to sound a lot alike. Not so with Steering by Starlight. This is one of the few I've ever read that 1) I did almost every written exercise (and thankfully, there weren't so many that it was overwhelming), and 2) as soon as I finished the book, I started right back at the beginning - and am doing all the exercises again! They really are that useful. I love that Martha doesn't spend a lot of time with the "why," sending the reader back into the murky past. Instead she guides one into very useful, and very doable, ways to have a different life experience starting NOW. Another thing that I really, really loved was that she isn't all about changing your circumstances. Her goal is to guide you through changing your inner experience, what goes on inside your skin rather the job, the relationship, the money issues, etc.. She contends that, as you change your inner experience, your outer experience will change as well. It's too soon for me to be able to verify that, but my behaviors started changing from day one, along with my thinking, so I imagine that my outer experience will change dramatically over time. She has great, and often hilarious, examples that clearly demonstrate her points. Note: She says that if you do the work outlined in the book, one result will be that your dreaming (nighttime, sleep dreaming) will become increasingly active. In my case at least, that is absolutely right on. My dreams are coming fast and furious, and have a lot of useful information. She does have interpretation guidance in the book.

A friendly book with wise thoughts and simple exercises for people who wonder what to do next in life. Martha Becks "simple" advice is to find out who you truly are and how to let that knowledge guide you. I would really recommend to actually DO the exercises and not only read them through (like I sometimes do...).

Martha Beck's approach to finding your "Right Life" is easy to follow & logical, yet full of practical insights I've never been exposed to during any of my searching. I found myself being inspired, engrossed, & excited while listening to her message. And further, she includes exercises to stretch my mind in ways I never thought possible. Some of her exercises may be familiar to anyone looking to manifest their desires, but Martha's techniques add depth I've never experienced with other teachers.

I have read all her books and love this author. She is so motivating with a great sense of humour and gets you in the frame of mind for DOING STUFF.Her book 'finding your own North Star' was recommended reading for a course I did with the Choice Centre in Las Vegas and really helped power me up and get started on my new life. I have taken off since then and done major things I only ever dreamed of, and know now where I am and what to do to make a great life happen. Have just bought her latest, 'Finding your way in a wild new world', because she is always such a joy to read.Can't recommend her enough.
