Great for crocheted blankets!
Beautiful colors and super soft, but also thinner than the regular yarn. I think it's only 3 ply, but that works for a baby blanket! I made catnip balls with this yarn. My cats love them! It's very easy to crochet with it. I'm not sure about knitting because I don't knit, but my mom made a knitted pair of socks with it and she enjoyed the process and she loves the feeling and look of the socks!

I make a lot of baby blankets for charity and I primarily use Lion Brand Mandala yarns. I had never tried the Sparkle yarn before because I was afraid it would look cheap, I'm not a fan of sparkly yarns. Not the case with this beautiful yarn! It's not a hard sparkle but a lovely glimmer. The price is also very good and I am adding it to my 'stable' of tried and true baby yarns.

Beautiful rich color
Colors are nice and rich. The yarn did not seem to split like some do. It’s is soft easy to crochet with. Washes nicely on the gentle cycle. I made a nice sweater.

That it is darker than the picture
The Sparkle Aquila is a lot darker than the picture. Disappointed about the difference.
