Great kit.
My old Timberwolf had been sitting abandoned by the edge of the woods in our "junk pile" for 8-10 years. Washed out the fuel tank, bought this kit along with a new petcock that came with line and filter. Installed, put jumper cables on and it fired right up like it had just been parked yesterday. Only had to screw the idle adjustment screw located on the side of the carb in a bit to get it to idle with no throttle input. I didn't even remove the throttle and choke cables from their caps, just put old caps on the new carb with the new springs and slides, fit right up. Time to put the old girl back to work!

Great product for the money
I was skeptical at first as some reviews were negative. Well for $25 I took a chance and couldn't be happier. Installed in less that 30 min and it instantly started. All i had to do was let it warm to operating temp and once i took the choke off, adjust the air/idle screw just a tad and it runs and idles perfect. The air/idle screw was slightly different but works the same. Just no spring. Recommended. A+

Good replacement carburetor for a GREAT price
The media could not be loaded. Replaced carburetor on 1998 Yamaha Timberwolf 250. No instructions included but was able to figure it out. It also comes with an inline fuel filter (kind of bulky in y opinion), an oil filter, and a replacement foam cover for the air filter housing. My only complaint so far is that the foam seal ring for the base of the air filter housing is too thick and needed to be trimmed down. I was not able to fit the assembly back together without trimming. Great value for the money.

Fits and works well on 1993 Yamaha Timberwolf 250
Fairly easy to install.. only issue was fuel inlet nipple on carb was smaller than original carb

Great price for an effective part
Is it a performance piece? No. Was it meant to be? No. Does it function as a carburetor and keep your quad running nice and smooth? Absolutely. Is that all I wanted it to do? Yup.

TRASH
I ordered two of these to repair a set of 97 & 98 Timberwolf Atvs. These machines had not run in a couple of years so i started with the basics, fuel lines carb clean etc. The factory carb on both were missing the idle screw to set slide height so I picked up two of these junk carbs. After installing the first one I got the machine to light off but the midrange fueling was way off. It was backfiring through the carb and acting like an ignition issue. I checked the basics with the carb, float height (non adjustable on this junk fyi) gaskets and seals, jetting etc. You cant set the needle height as there is only one position. After going through the entire electrical system and carb I reworked the old factory unit the best I could and sure as shit, it runs like a top. Both of the carbs I got were defective or should not be used in the application they list. This cost me 6hrs of production...0 out of 10, don't waste your time or money.

Non-adjustable needle
It might plug and play for your application, but for my 98 timberwolf, the fact that the fuel needle did not have adjustment notches in it made it un-tunable. Specifically, it would run at idle and wide open, but would miss at mid range RPM, which is where you want to live when riding. Do yourself a favor and buy one that's adjustable needle-style, or rebuild your OEM one, which is what I ended up doing.

Works well
Runs like a champ. Jets they send with the kit are a bit stout.. way too big. Used my old main jet from previous carb and the rest worked fine.
