perfect for halloween Harry Potter scars
This liquid worked perfectly and wasn't irritating at all. My nephews loved getting real scars for their Harry Potter costumes! Works exactly as described and once dry just peels off, easy peasy!

love mehron products
i always love working with mehrom products for any sfx look. used this for a witcher oc costume for a ren faire. held up through sweating in 100 degree weather over lip liner to give the scar some color. press some translucent powder over the top and its matte enough to look real (with the right color underneath).

Perfect
Used this on a client for Halloween and this worked perfectly! You do need to apply in layers which can use up quite a bit of product, I needed about 13 layers to ahceive the look I was going for. It’s still an amazing product and I definitely recommend it.

Not FX MUA just an actor going all out
I’ve been scarred and aged by many extraordinarily talented MUA for film sets. When self tape audition presented itself, decided to go all out and include a scar as part of my character’s look. Googled and watched online how-to videos where I learned what the product is called (rigid collodion) and began my buying search, ending up with options on Amazon for this quick turnaround.Chose the least expensive overall (product and shipping) although this product was listed numerous times on Amazon with different price points, vendors and shipping options. Product arrived within the shipping window, and as described. The odor preceded my opening the box. The glass bottle was in a manufacturer-sealed blister package. My use was to create a thin, approx 4” scar along neck. Concerned brush included could be too wide, I kept my skin stretched out as and after I applied it in 2 light coats, knowing it shrinks when drying which creates the scarred effect. So the width of the scar ended up being as I intended and even did another wide coat in one section to deliberately make it wider. One end did lift a bit, almost like scabbing, which was fine with me. I had used a lip liner to create the area to apply, then used mineral powder foundation over the scar including the peeling end so the look was a more healed skin tone and not shiny (product dries with shine). For my intended purpose it worked well. The peeling end helped me start to remove the scar once finished. Although I had bought, and did need, spirit gum remover to remove it completely. While I do have sensitive skin, I had no reaction after removal and any redness from wiping off was temporary.Given comments by other users about product solidifying (it’s very much like, or could even be, a nail polish consistency), I have tightly secured the cap making sure the bottle rim and cap don’t have product which could seal it shut. I have used duct tape around the cap and bottle neck to keep air out which causes solidification. I may never use the product again, but don’t want it useless if I do need it in the future.Like that it’s made in the USA.Surprised in re-reading usage, that “5 and older” could use this product. I wouldn’t have a kid handle it. Perhaps that note was there to indicate it is reasonably safe for an adult to use it on ages 5 and up?…Sorry bottle doesn’t photograph well, plus I already put the duct tape to seal the cap better.

Professional looking
The photo was taken right after applying three layers. Some light makeup and the scar looked so real that I had people worried. The bottle is more than enough to make a few scars and a key tip is to put some pink pencil down before applying the first coat. Let it dry, then put down a few more coats. You can add some powder after to take off the shine or just leave it.

Please be aware!
The product work. Just be aware doesn’t come out just with water, I use everything possible including oil nothing works!!!Then I read the instructions and says “to remove use “spirit gum remover “ I have to order it and is not coming until Friday. This is a horrible decision for me to use it.

Look Like You Got Into a Fight with a Street Tuff
Used this to fake a scar down my face for Halloween and all day, people were asking me how I did it because it looked so real. To add some coloration, I drew a line down my face using a lip liner pencil in a natural shade and then put around 8-10 layers of the collodion over it. I used spirit gum remover to take it off and it was a little tough to remove after having it on for 18 hours, leaving a slight red mark on my face. Make sure to take extra care in removing if you've got sensitive skin!
