They are not bad knives for the price, and while I was thinking about sending them back, they're better than the knives I was seeking to replace, and these are precisely the sorts of catches I was expecting when I bought them.First of all, the pattern is laser etched and looks cheap up close. (I'll try to remember to post pictures, later) .I certainly wouldn't call these "well balanced" and I'm not quite sure that the handle is actually wooden.The blades are not even partial tang, and as far as I can tell, the handle is simply glued to the blade, and will likely fail rather quickly after a few rounds in the dishwasher, so hand wash them! If this is your price point, and you like the way these look, do it. I've seen worse knives sell for more.
