Reduced activity within a couple of days
Fast‑acting and genuinely effective. This Pest Expert formula reduced activity within a couple of days, and the pre‑measured 100g sachets make it easy to place without mess. It’s strong, so you only need a single feed, and I noticed a clear drop in signs soon after. The tub is big enough for multiple placements around the property. A reliable option if you’re dealing with a stubborn infestation.

Worth every penny
Does exactly what you want it to! We were struggling with a sizeable population of rats around our house due to a neighbour housing and feeding pigeons in their garden - this is the best and most effective product we have found for controlling the numbers. We’ve gone from seeing several rats sunbathing together on our lawn to rarely seeing one. We rate it so much we have ordered another batch to make sure we’re keeping on top of eliminating the problem, hopefully for good! We found that slightly cutting open the packet helped attract the neighbourhood ratties and they did not leave a single grain behind.

Brilliant stuff!
We have been entertained by a family of large grey rats that had made their home under our sheds at the bottom of the garden. In a sense they were no obvious trouble, and living in the countryside its just something thats part of rural life. Unfortunately they also enjoyed chewing through some of the base of the sheds and the trim we had around the bottom of them, so they had to be evicted. We tried traps with no success and then the "Big Cheese" in its dispenser, which got us three of the rats almost immediately, but the others had no interest n it. Now this "green grain" poison is a different matter. I placed a pile of it outside their main entrance, and within 10m they were running in and out stuffing their mouths with it and then running back under the sheds. They ate two packs on the first day, and on the second morning we found two dead rats on the path, so I replaced the food and we saw two more rats emerge to eat everything up, then nothing more. Two weeks later, still zero rats, all quite and job done! I have no hesitation in recommending this product as our rats absolutely loved it! (till they didn't lol)

It works ( I think)
It appears that the method is proving effective. I observed a sizable rat in one of the sheds via a trail camera. I acquired a trap, which the rat seemingly entered and exited at its leisure. My brother-in-law, who is from Geordie, visited and suggested this particular poison. I had some peanut butter, which had proven ineffective as trap bait, so I combined a generous amount of it with the blue corn and left it in the shed overnight. It was entirely consumed. I repeated this process for a second night, and the trail camera showed no rats for a couple of weeks. Subsequently, I noticed a small rat, so I applied the peanut butter and poison mixture again. It was disregarded, so I then mixed some into cream cheese. That has since been consumed, and the rats have not been seen thus far.

To open or not ?
I’m confused ! Research on this product indicates that gloves are provided so as not to transfer human sweat etc from the hand to the sachets ( no gloves were included ). Not to worry, I have my own….the pictures indicate that the sachets contains grains…..but the instructions on the packet are to leave the sachets intact and the rats will nibble through the plastic and eat the grains. Reading other reviews, it seems like people open the packets themselves ? I have witnessed my rats walking over the unopened packets and ignoring them completely!! It’s early days so I will persevere and try all options but trying to find answers on their best use is not straightforward.
