Would a pair of pliers fit in either layer of this?

A small pair probably would. I use mine for cable end connections for video and sound equipment. I have a couple of lead wires bundled up and in the box, so a small pair of pliers that is about the size of a VGA connection cable bundle would fit.

Is the total box 2.5 in deep or is that per side? I am looking at the largest box 3500-22.

that is the complete depth. 3500 are one of the smallest boxes made. the medium sized is a 3600 and the biggest is 3700. thanks, shelley

Holds loads more than you would think

Excellent piece of kit, holds more than you would expect being double sided. Adjustable compartments. Sturdy. Very secure. Transparent so easy to see inside without opening. Would definitely recommend

Excellent

Plano quality and perfect to cram in a heap of finesse baits for a spot of perch fishing. I can get a load of creatures, jigs, small crank baits and still have room for some spinners and chatter baits. The best bit is it fits neatly into the largest pocket on my waistcoat. The locking clasps are very secure too, so no chance of not shutting it properly and having a lure spillage. I've just bought another two to store all my jig heads and spare plastics in.
