You must give it time, it does work well
I have to completely eat crow on my first review of this which I gave only one star and recommend a different product. I blame Meguiars for half of it for not explaining how it seems to work. When you first apply this to anything you see absolutely no difference at all. It literally looked no different at all making me think it just didn’t work. However about 3 days later it actually looked restored and great. I guess it needed time to soak in? I have no other explanation for it just that it looked no different, then 3 days later it darkened up immensely and looks great now. I’m rewriting this review now 7 months later because it finally faded away and needed a 2nd treatment. I live in the brutal south Florida sun and it lasted 7 months before needing another coat. Buy it, it’s worth it…

It's like liquid magic...
A bit pricey, but looks and works better than Armor All. It looks so shiny on my dashboard and it cleaned up the fender flares on my friend's Wrangler. It turns grey, faded, plastic into showroom black...

Decent product
*UPDATE* I am changing this review to 4 stars. I have been using this for almost a year now and it really does a nice job. I truly renews the plastic and protects it from the sun. I would give 5 stars, but as I mentioned below it does not have the shine that some other products do. I don't like shine on the plastic inside my car, but I do like it on the outside. Overall, this product is worth the money and I absolutely recommend it to others. Original review: I recently used this on my 2016 Camaro convertible. Living in the desert Southwest, protecting exterior plastics is important because the sun is brutal. Since my car is about 10 years old, some of the plastic trim had started to fade. I decided to give this product a try. I’ve used Wipe New in the past, which works, but it can be difficult and messy to apply. This product is much easier to use, which is what attracted me to it. The bottle size is generous, and now I understand why. Application was very easy and clean with no issues. It definitely improved the appearance of the plastic, but it did not restore it to a like-new look, and it does not add any noticeable shine. The finish is more natural and matte. After several car washes and a few months of use, the effect has worn off and I will need to reapply it. Because of that, I’m giving this three stars. I was hoping for a longer-lasting result and a bit more depth or shine. That said, it does work, and the big advantage is how easy and clean it is to apply compared to other products. If you don’t mind reapplying it more frequently, it’s a solid option. Overall, I would use this again and would recommend it, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Perfect for restoring faded trim! Brings them back to life
I used Meguiar’s Ultimate Black on my families vehicles and it made a massive difference. All of them had plastic trim that had faded to a chalky look, but this brought back the shiny black look pretty much instantly. It also adds UV protection which hopefully will extend the life of the plastic trim. It's also pretty nice using it on the interior trim to hopefully help prevent the dash from cracking as it gets older. The best part is that it isn't sticky or greasy. It dries quickly and doesn't just wash right off the exterior trim after a few car washes unlike other products I've tried that only lasted a few minutes. Just a quick heads-up on the really faded trim pieces, I had to do two coats to get it to apply better. It also smells pretty good too. I just used a microfiber cloth to rub it in and it worked perfectly. It’s a super easy way to make an older car look almost brand new :)

Low effort, high reward temporary new look plastic.
Worked well at very minimum use a clean cloth and damp towel off the area with clean water if you’re not gonna wash it. Apply liberally to areas that are bleached from water damage. Continue with all other areas using a microfiber towel a sponge or Terry cloth washcloth use more on damaged areas. Let’s sit for 10 minutes. Come back with a dry towel and wipe it clean and dry very lightly do all of these things. Do not grind or use heavy pressure on any of it just lightly circular motions and then let it sit for 10 minutes.. and lightly dry it all off treat it like it’s paint and you don’t want to scratch it. I had great success with it. You can repeat over the areas that don’t come out perfect but I found letting it sit for 10 minutes and liberally putting it on those areas worked fine. Try not to get it on the paint if you do take a damp cloth and wipe that off good product we’ll see how long it lasts. That’s the thing but for now I’ll give it a five.

Restores to Like New!
We live in Texas where the sun is unrelentingly brutal. The trim on my car had taken a little bit of a beating because of that and I like to keep my vehicle looking nice. I had done a little bit of detailing work and really wanted to give my car a little extra treatment and went looking for something to condition the rubber, plastic, and vinyl part of my exterior. I came across this stuff. Normally I'm an Armor All sort of gal but I've heard of this company and I went looking at the reviews. I wanted something thicker because I was sure that was what was going to be needed and I just wasn't satisfied with the products from Armor All so I decided to give this a try. I looked at a few of the reviews and some of the videos and I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. First off application is VERY easy and straightforward. No need for fancy tools, techniques, and the fact it is a cream and not a spray allows you to control where the product is going. A couple of the videos said a little goes a long way. No doubt it might if you vehicle is newer or the vinyl, etc has been very well maintained (and I'm sure it helps if you don't live in certain states like TX, NM, or AZ!). However if it's been a while, or in my case it has never been conditioned to my knowledge you're going to need to be generous with it. This isn't a bad thing, it just means the vinyl or other surfaces are thirsty and soaking it up. I estimate I easily used half the bottle on my first go on my 2016 Chevy Traverse. Well worth it and every penny spent on it, not that the price is bad at all. I don't think she looked this good when we bought her! I suspect if we treat her with this product regularly it won't take so much in the future. Nevertheless I've already gone ahead and ordered a second bottle. Though there is far less vinyl, rubber, and/or plastic on them my husband and two daughters each have a car and I intend to start treating those parts on their vehicles as well.

Decent Enough Results... but Not Very Long-Lasting
Since purchasing my car brand new from the dealer in 2008, I've routinely used MEGUIAR'S G15812 Plastic Restorer to help maintain its like-new appearance. After each car wash and during the detailing phase, I apply this product to my rear OEM mud guards, window trim, and other black exterior body trim to help restore a nice luster and combat the inevitable sun fade resulting from punishing UV exposure. Usually, it takes AT LEAST a couple coats to achieve the look I desire... but a little drop or two does go a lot further than you might suspect. In other words, don’t get too overzealous when dispensing it or else you’ll just end up unnecessarily wasting excess product. Worth noting, though, is that while this product will bring back some color and shine to very dull, black trim, those results are not going to necessarily blow you away and they also do not tend to hold up very long. As some others reviewers have commented, a reapplication is usually necessary within just a few weeks. Further, this all depends upon the weather conditions in one's specific living area. I think a lot of this has to do with the material composition of the trim material itself and is not necessarily a failing of this product. Most durable plastics and similar types of trim materials actually have color tinting mixed into their actual physical composition during the manufacturing process. Therefore, once that coloring eventually starts to fade, it's quite difficult to restore it with a topical product like this plastic restorer because the color fade is actually happening WITHIN the molecular structure of the trim material and not just ON the surface of it. As an example, have you ever happened to come across one of those bright red high-density polyethylene (HDPE) portable gasoline containers (e.g., Midwest, Blitz, Chilton) commonly used by homeowners to fill their lawn equipment that’s subsequently managed to become sun faded to the point of becoming pinkish or even almost white in color from having been routinely stored outdoors? Well, no amount of polish, rubbing compound or other sort of topical treatment will ever be able to restore that container to its original, bright red color. That’s because damage has been done to the red color tinting WITHIN the high-density polyethylene material itself and not just to the exterior surface of the container. When I initially purchased this product, I thought I would be really wowed by the results. Instead, my reaction was just "meh, it's alright." In all fairness, I've also used Mothers® Back-to-Black® with a nearly identical overall experience. Seriously, with so much improved chemical engineering technology available nowadays, you’d think that it wouldn’t be all that difficult to manufacturer a product that could offer stellar plastic restoration results. It shouldn’t be all that difficult, right? Overall, I'm not completely dissatisfied with this product. It’s done a decent job of maintaining all the parts of my car I mentioned previously, but I do certainly wish that it could offer even better results. If I could find some other product that performed better, I’d have no hesitancy whatsoever about switching. But, for now, I simply choose to keep using this product because it's relatively inexpensive… and anything is certainly better than having dull trim on my car's otherwise pristine exterior. Interestingly, when I purchased my most recent bottle of this just a few months ago, I noticed that it now has a yellow sticker affixed to its front stating, "Now Even Longer Lasting!" Hmmm… Meguiar's must have gotten the message loud and clear.

Realmente funciona

It's okay
It is a temporary solve, more of a plastic shine than a restorer, does not last long.
