Excellent musky net
Frabil 8527 Power Stow is an excellent net for landing large fish. I've used this net on my trip to Canada within days of receiving it from Amazon.com. Safely landed ten muskies and a few larger Northerns. The best part is that this net does not take 1/2 of the boat while being of a very generous hoop size when deployed. It is very easy to put in operational mode and it is light enough to be handled when fishing solo. Extended telescopic handle, handy when fishing partner helps to net fish, makes this net very heavy to handle for a one-hand-one-person situation if fish was not taken from the first scoop. The net's rubber-coated mesh is fairly dense (1.5") - thus this net less harsh on a netted fish. Another great feature is the depths of the net sock - 56" - if my recollection is accurate . This allows safely handle large fish without taking it out of the water (and keep i there until all is ready for picture taking). This shortens fish revival process almost always necessary before release. I found it very easy to remove treble hooks from the rubberized mesh without damaging net, though it was mentioned as a problem in user reviews elsewhere. I am very happy with my purchase, this net is better than I though it will be. I will prefer this net over more expensive PowerCatch Big Kahuna - for its portability.

Net lasted a less than a month of saltwater use.
Two of the adjustment springs rusted into withing a month of use. This renders the net useless. I could put in some screws to hold it together, but the net is huge and will not be adjustable. Very surprised. I had a Frabill net that lasted years until it blew out of my boat this year......

Avoid this seller unless they fix it
Bottom line- this seller is horrible... nonissue with the net. Bought this a a gift with the gift reciept. Way too big for my friends boat... my fault. But here's the deal- apparently the seller required my gift recipient to pay 65 dollars to return it just so he could get the 120 dollar gift credit...so now he rally has 55 dollara towards a net. This is an absolutely travesty. Since it is apparently too dificucult to simply rectify this situation, I'll start here with a review that hopefully gets everyone to think twice prior to ordering from this seller. My hope is they do right thing, my gift recipient doesn't pay 65 out of pocket, and we can get the proper size of this really cool net and get some fish in the boat!!!

this is a big net
i bought this net because i lost several larger california halibut this year due to an undersized net. well now my problem is the smaller fish i net look ridiculous. this net is big. it compacks and folds up so it doesnt take up space in the boat. i even netted a sturgeon with it.

This is a great musky net and I use it constantly
This is a great musky net and I use it constantly. I've netted at least forty plus muskies and going strong. It's definitely worth the money!
