Q: Is this real or imitation vanilla?

No it is not. I believed the answers to this question and was disappointed. It is a blend of real vanilla and vanillin (artificial flavouring).

Q: What Is The Shelf Life?

I googled this answer and it is 5 years keeping it in a cool dark area. Keep in mind cool is not refrigerator. I live in Central Arizona except during our Winter months the rest of the year I am hard pressed to find a cool area.

Q: Does It Contain Milk?

No. This is vanilla extract. Vanilla extract does not contain milk.

Q: What does it smell like?

It smells great - just like McCormick
