I have a Husky and Australian Shepard mix, both with a little attitude but an abundance of energy when they know we are going to go for a walk. I have used harnesses and they don't even come close to doing what these simple leads do. After watching Ceasar on tv, I decided to look for leads to help with the walking process and figured it couldn't hurt. These are amazing and I LOVE THEM. They work so well, I don't have any issues with the leather piece sneaking through and not stopping it from loosening too much like I saw someone else said. I also don't have the struggle I had before I had these leads, when walking my dogs. The still want to pull a bit, and I am working on it because that's what it takes. People working on it and having that patience. The leads won't fix the problem of a dog pulling completely but they sure listen and understand that pulling doesn't feel good and they can't drag me and giving me more control to be able to handle the walks. These are extremely worth getting if you know what you are doing and how to use them. (Keeping under the jaw, not on the neck.)

Leashes just fine

My trusty companion is a Schnoodle, Schnauzer/Poodle mix. Being part Terrier, he has been a "puller" on the leash since the beginning of time. During early training days I tried a choker style collar to no avail, he just pulled and didn't care that he was choking himself. I then bought a gentle leader collar and used a regular leash with it for 10 years of very successful non-pulling. The problem was, I couldn't do a quick light snap of the leash to correct him from vocalizing around other dogs and people. For those of you who don't know what the vocalization of a Schnauzer is I will only say that it is unnerving. My dog is passive and quiet at home (non barker), but when he sees people and dogs he makes a whiny yodeling sound and runs full throttle at the person/dog. He is what I call "too friendly", he thinks everyone loves him just like he loves them. Not true. In fact he has almost been attacked by multiple dogs for this screaming and darting behavior. The gentle leader did not help with this, however it did train my dog to walk next to me and not pull which was fantastic. I used this rope leash for the first time yesterday, and with a light snap my dog quickly stopped his whiny yodle and moved forward walking when he saw other dogs. Beuno! I like the width of the rope lead, it's not too thick and easy to use. I just wish it was 1 foot longer because after you use the portion of it that goes around a dogs neck there's not enough left in my opinion. I bought the 3/8 x 6 foot.

Its decent but way over priced

This lead is small enough to let my puppy know what she needs to do and not too thick.

I have a giant german shepherd that likes to go after squirrels and this held her back and works excellent for corrections and overall better control compared to a cheaper one I got earlier. The little leather tab that helps position the lead up high near the dog's ears doesn't immediately slide around like other leads so it actually stays in the right place. The leather parts that keep the leash together are rock solid, unlike other cheaper leashes that look hot glued.

When the box came I had no idea the leash was in there as the box was very light. I opened the package and at first, was a little disappointed because it was so light and which makes one think not very strong. This is not a cheap leash BUT it is very lightweight and strong and appears well made. The lightness and slip lead makes everything easier and I've been training dogs since the 60s'. This is a surprisingly good product and makes training IF used correctly very easy.

The product is easy to use very light in weighr and ideal to control a hyper dog. Should have bought an additional one for later.

Good quality, kind on hand :) still learning how to use one but I love this so far!
