Clapper Makiwara

Well, this is the ONLY Makiwara available in Amazon at the time of this writing. So if you are going to buy from amazon, you dont have much choice.But dont worry. It is of good quality, you just need to attach to a pole to make it work. And the pole needs to be planted on the ground.Installing the Makiwara into the wall does not produce the same results. Consult your sensei.There are some Martial Art stores outside Amazon where the Makiwara already comes attached with the rest of the body so the hard work of installing it by yourself is reduced. But those can become expensive.

I was use to the old fashioned rope wrapped around a long wood mounted 2x4 which gave me knuckles like golf balls. But this will work as a substitute. Do knuckle push ups write after.

I have to figure out a way to mount this because in order to get the full benefit from this, you need it mounted to a solid base. Excellent for building calluses and improving bone density.

My husband put this up on a random corner in our house to hit when he walks by. He loves this thing and it is very sturdy.

works if you need one it will do the tricknothing special but adequate
