Gorton's, Crispy Battered Fish Fillets, 19 oz (Frozen)

Great for a quick meal for lunch or dinner. Definitely a third of the price vs going out. And being a "TV Dinner" food it's really not that bad. And they are fillets, no mystery meat. Better baked over deep fried. These are a basic staple you'll find in my freezer. Portions are restaurant sized. Oily enough to be great for an air fryer. No fishy lingering taste or smell. Feels fresh even though it is frozen. Expected thickness for the price of the product. 100% pickled tink

The quality is surprisingly good for a frozen option, the batter crisps up perfectly, and the fish inside is flaky and tender rather than mushy. It is a convenient, budget-friendly way to get a satisfying seafood meal on the table quickly. If you are looking for a tasty fish fillet that delivers excellent bang for your buck, this is a solid choice.

I tend to be a fan of the frozen fish line from Gorton's. While I prefer the beer-battered fish, this 19-ounce package of crispy battered fish fillets is also one I'll pick up when my preferred option is not available. The package includes 10 whole fish fillets (not minced). I like that the package can be re-sealed fairly well (not perfectly) and that these are wild caught, responsibly sourced fish. The fish is Alaskan Pollock. For those concerned with allergen information, this fish includes wheat and derivatives, fish and derivatives, other gluten containing grain and gluten containing grain products, milk and its derivatives, and corn and Its derivatives. A serving size is two fillets and includes 230 calories, 11g of fat, 25mg of cholesterol, 510mg of sodium, 10g of protein, and 23g of carbohydrates. Among the frozen fish options, this is not my #1 options but it's a preferred option that I choose when my #1 is not available. I've tried other brands, as well, and I keep coming back to Gorton's. The fish is fresh, tasty, easy to prepare, and doesn't present like it's frozen because it doesn't typically stick together. Overall, this Crispy Battered Fish from Gorton's has become a regular part of my diet. It's a little expensive, but I still consider it a good value and it's definitely a great value compared to fish prices in restaurants. I'll definitely be continuing to order Gorton's Crispy Battered Fish.

For quick on the go to meals this definitely hits the spot if you’re doing meals like: fish n chips or fish tacos. Fish fillet sizes are good, definitely thick, great value for your money. Overall good quality, no fishy smell, or any oil residue
