SaphiRose Double Layer Rain Poncho, Waterproof Thick Hooded Raincoat 3-in-1

I bought this for an outdoor concert because the forecast was calling for severe weather, and it ended up being one of the best things I packed. It folded up small enough to fit in my clear stadium bag, so it didn't take up much space. When the rain started pouring, I just pulled it out and put it on. I'm 5'1", and it covered me really well from head to below my knees, keeping me dry the whole time. I also loved the hood because it actually stayed in place instead of blowing around like the cheap ponchos I've used before. It felt sturdy and was way better quality than I expected. It was also easy to fold back up and fit into the storage bag after the concert. I still have it and plan to bring it with me to future concerts and other outdoor events since it's durable enough to be used over and over again.

The fit is great and has lots of space. Water does get in between the buttons on the side but its not too bad. Its great for the value! Everyone loves it!

It's the perfect size for travel and packs away nicely into its bag. It also seems to do a great job of being waterproof, though I haven't had the chance to test it fully just yet. One unexpected thing I noticed is that it has a pretty strong plastic smell, which caught me off guard. It ended up giving me a bit of a headache and made my whole living room and kitchen smell! I do have a larger-than-average head and quite a bit of hair, and while it does fit, it's a tad snug. I might consider making a slit to make it more comfortable, especially during hot and humid rain.

I am a small adult (4’11” tall) and the adult ponchos were way too big for me. This kid’s poncho was perfect!! Used it on my trip, it came in really handy! Folded up in the pouch and took up very little space.

I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail for 7 months in 2022, from March through September. I began the AT with Frog Toggs, which I quickly learned were trash after just one day of use on the trail! I found several different types of rain gear in hiker boxes and made use of those until I could find what I wanted. This poncho was recommended to me and I gave it a try. Best decision I could've made! Let's face it, no rain gear in the world will keep you completely dry 100% of the time. There are pros and cons to all gear. Your shoes and socks will always be soaked in rain, and it's just something hikers live with. It doesn't even bother me. That being said, this poncho was large enough to fit over me, my pack, and it hung down just past my knees in the front. This is perfect for hiking up and down mountains, through thick brush, fording rivers, it's great in the heat and the cold. The hood has a small visor that keeps rain from dripping into your eyes as well. It never once ripped or developed any holes at all. It has a pocket in the chest area to keep your phone or whatever you need. It is quick and easy to deploy in a sudden shower, and dries extremely fast. It also works as a temporary personal shelter in really hard rain. you can sit on a ,log or rock, place your pack between your legs, bow your head down, and pull the poncho down around you to your feet (I did this many times!). And for the price, you can't beat it! I will be hiking the Colorado Trail beginning in June of 2023 and this poncho is going with me! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!!!

We purchased this poncho for backpacking and camping. While we find its rain repellency and size to be good and reliable, in general, there are a few minor manufacturing quirks others might find useful prior to purchase. First, if you're an adult under 6ft tall and up to 250lbs, this will provide adequate coverage. It's not going to keep your shins or boots dry in a driving rain (that's what waterproof boots are for!), but if you button up the snaps along the sides (3 snaps per side), you should keep nice and dry. Unless, of course, you've got a big head or wear a ballcap. We found the head opening to be a little too snug to don the poncho while wearing a ball cap and glasses; though, once through, the hood provides ample coverage and the built-in visor helps keep the wet off the ball cap's brim. The side snaps are decently spaced apart, but their placement at the edge of the material makes us wary of pulling them open too fast. The chest pocket is sizeable and, to give you an idea, you could fit a couple decks of cards inside –maybe a phone, too. The material is light and that's great, except if the wind is really blowing; then, the material blows around a lot (even while snapped) and that presents some opportunities for an intruding drop or three. The forest camo poncho we purchased would probably work for hunting, too, though the rustling of the material (not as bad as plastic) could give up the game –along with the large white logo printed on the lower right corner. All told, it's a good poncho for the price. A slightly larger head opening, a slightly larger hood with drawstrings, a brim band, reinforced seams for the snaps, maybe an additional 4 inches of material for the arms and legs would be good; a drawstring at the waist and mid-thigh would all make this poncho perfect. Don't let this review dissuade you from getting this poncho, especially if you get it for the rare occasion you're caught off guard and need something, like your vehicle's emergency bag. Works great

Me gustó mucho este poncho. Compré dos. Individualmente funciona excelente como poncho para la lluvia, es impermeable, de buen material. Uno lo usa un niño de 12 años y le llega arriba de los tobillos, lo cual es útil. El otro para un adulto alto, al que le cubre hasta los muslos; queda bien en ambos casos: se adapta a diferentes alturas y complexiones. Lo mejor es que tienen orificios reforzados y botones que son útiles: en un viaje a una playa virgen, unimos ambos mediante estos orificios y los botones, para hacer un techo que sirviera como palapa. Lo logramos y el viento no le hizo ningún daño a los ponchos. También lo hemos usado unidos como "tapete" en el suelo de campamentos para sentarnos encima de ellos, con una cobija de por medio. Es decir, son multifacéticos. Y el precio es accesible!

Muy buen impermeable de gran calidad, resistente y ligero

A great little poncho for rain. It arrived today conveniently while it was pouring rain. I bought this for an upcoming backwoods solo trip and not be seen with the camouflage. I did use scotch guard rain and UV protect for no color fade with nylon materiel a few hours before trying out. The hood with the beak covers your face with a good hat on and drawstrings for extra removing of "slack" makes this worth while. I noticed there are grommets in all corners, this would make it great when I take a bike ride and need a cover, just tie to trees for a makeshift shelter( just a bit of para cord). The buttons are well in. So far so good, the rain is just pouring off and this SaphiRose is keeping me dry. I highly recommend this one. I'm going to purchase a few more soon.
