Works perfectly, but note that this is a compact chimney starter! It ignited my coals perfectly, but that was also nowhere near enough charcoal for my standard-size grill unfortunately. I do like that it is very compact, though, so I'm OK with working around this by first using the ignited charcoal to ignite even more charcoal in the grill, and then getting started after that.

I use this with the Lodge Sportsman Grill. It works well but I wish it were about an inch taller to more easily hold about 6 more coals. The larger chimneys are too wide in diameter to sit flat on the coal grate of the Sportsman Grill. If I am doing a full cook on the grill this is not quite enough coals for my liking. I need to pile the extra few coals above the rim. No biggy but an inch taller would be nice. This is the first time I have used a chimney and I was very impressed how well it started the coals. I will never go back to fluid. Update: I still like this a lot. I still wish it was an inch taller, but it works. I looked at the weber full size chimney, it is massive. Almost as big as my Lodge Sportsman grill. I'll stick with this compact model for this grill. Tip for easy lighting: Tear the newspaper into 1" wide shreds. Even better, run it through an office shredder. It lights way easier since there is better airflow through the shredded paper. Its harder to get the paper to stay in place though. Roll it in a ball, stuff it under the chimney and hold it in place until you set the chimney in place. Tip it slightly and poke your lighter underneath. Don't tip it too much or your paper will fall out. It lights so much easier. Update 2: I bought some Weber starter cubes. So much easier than newspaper and way less smokey. Even brief exposure to the newspaper smoke left me smelling like a campfire. One cube gets this chimney roaring in 10-15 minutes.

Wow - I should have gotten one of these years ago. It is the smaller version but I use it with the smaller 18" Weber so it is adequate for a small cook. If you are cooking for more than two people you should probably get the larger one. It seems a little flimsy but is holding up well and boy, does it get those briquettes going strong is just a few minutes. Super easy to use and saves much time and frustration.

This has a better handle than other brands. It's also twice the price. It works great. You do not need lighter fluid. But I like to put some in there just enough for the smell. Paper on the bottom or tumble weeds only need 1 to get the fire started. Coals are ready very quickly 10 to 12 min and your cooking. Since I bought this I use charcoal 3 to 1 vs propane now a complete reversal.

Best to start BBQ coals. Don't need to use horribly unhealthy lighter fluid any more. Easy to start and dump out the lighted coals. Everyone in family will get this as a gift.

It's perfect for the small 37 cm kettle weber or go anywhere webber. Fits in the go anywhere webber if you pack it in. What I don't like about it is that it can dent easily. It's not a thick plate of steal. But it's does what it needs to do. Excellent for Camping or fishing trips.

Made my life easier. Very good for small barbeque kit. If you have a big barbeque set, it is better to buy a bigger Fireplace lighter.

La chimenea ayuda a reducir el tiempo de encendido del carbón o las briquetas, además de asegurar que se prendan de forma homogénea. También sirve a modo de medidor, ya que ofrece la cantidad de combustible perfecta para usar con las barbacoas más pequeñas de la familia Weber -para las de 47 y 57 cm, mejor usar el otro modelo de chimenea más grande. Otro aspecto importante que pocos comentan es que, a la larga, ayuda a conservar mejor tu barbacoa Weber. Conozco a varias personas que prenden la leña, el carbón o las briquetas directamente sobre la parrilla de sus barbacoas y, tras unos pocos usos, las parrillas se deforman e incluso el esmalte que cubre y protege el cuerpo de la barbacoa comienza a descascarillarse. Por tanto, es preferible encender el combustible usando este accesorio y renovarlo cuando se deteriore del todo que tener que comprar una barbacoa nueva o varios repuestos de la parrilla. A la larga, sale más económico así y te alegras de haberlo comprado. Conclusión: considero que la chimenea de encendido es un complemento ideal e imprescindible para tu barbacoa, ya sea de Weber u otra marca.
