Can anyone tell me ingredients in this?

The backing appeared to be plastic, but the part that touches your skin was a gel. I believe it is just a hydrogel, in which case it would be made up of synthetic polymers that absorb a lot of water. So technically water would be the greatest component, followed by something like sodium polyacrylate or acrylate polymers.

How do these compare to Lansinoh Soothies?

They are very similar. I personally feel like Medela products are USUALLY superior, but I have used both brands of the gels and liked them both. The Medela hydrogels do not, however, last as long as Lansinoh, which can be used for "up to 72 hours.," The Medela ones state they can be reused for "up to 24 hours."

How do you get these to stay on? Do they just stick on their own? Is the non-skin side sticky (will it cling to a nursing bra?)

Both sides have a sticky part on them. I used one side on the inside of my bra. Under the clear sheet is sticky too, and the instructions say to run it under cold water to reduce the sticky if needed. For me that was no help as removing them was excruciating. I then left the clear side on the gel pad just because it did provide limited relief and I did not want to waist the money I spent on the pads. They are in squares, so as it cups around the breast and nipple the material crinkles. The crinkle on the nipple also hurts.

Anyone familiar with the medela soft shells for sore nipples? Which of these products is better to protect nipples between pumping?

I have used both and much prefer the hydrogel. The soft shells were uncomfortable, not at all discreet, I have an over supply and would drip into them and it would spill everywhere any time I had to take them out (which is a lot when you are nursing). I felt like they did nothing to heal my crack and just kept my clothes from rubbing against them. The hydrogels actually help heal the cracks and make it comfortable to wear a bra and normal clothes. The hydrogel is more expensive since they only last 24 hours but I threw the soft shells from the hospital away and have been using hydrogels for the last couple of weeks to heal a severe crack.

すぐ効いた

乳頭の水ぶくれが破れてしまったので藁にもすがる思いで購入。傷治りかける→授乳で再び痛む→傷治りかけるのループを数日間繰り返していましたが、これを貼って１日でかなり傷が良くなり、2日目以降は使わなくても済む状態になりました。推奨されていないかもしれませんが4分の1にカットして使い、問題なく使えました。

病院のおすすめ

病院の看護師長のおすすめで、乳首が切れてしまった時に使い始めました。安いものではないので、いつも一枚を4～6等分に切って使っていました。胸もすっかり良くなり大変お世話になりました。病院で売っていた時より少しお安く、送料無料で買えたので良かったです。

いいんだけど

授乳初めの頃に浅く噛まれ続け、裂けてしまい気になり購入。 1枚貼るともったいないので、4つに切って使っています。良いのですが、母乳が出てくると吸ってしまい、プルんとなります。そうするとズレます。ズレないようにラップを切って固定して使っています。うちの子はよく飲み頻繁に授乳する方なので、ジェルパッドで治しニップルで守りながら授乳しています。母乳漏れやすい人は向かないかな?? 漏れやすい人はワセリンにラップの方が良さそうな気がします。

搾乳や授乳で乳首が痛く、下着などに当たると痛むので購入しました。厚めのジェルパッドでひんやりして摩擦から守られるのですが、24時間で捨てるので割高だなと思いました。実際はつけたり外したりすると少し剥がれやすくなるのと、なんだか衛生面が気になり、5箱買って使った時点でラップパックに戻しました。

この商品を使って痛みが少し引きました。パッドなので、下着と傷が擦れなくて良いです。４枚でこの値段は、高いなと思いましたが、１枚を４等分にカットして使って８日分になったので、まあ良いかなと思いました。しかし、授乳前に必ず洗い流さないといけないのが手間でしようがないです。

So worth it!

I was given these by the mother baby unit after delivery, and bought more. These were a breastfeeding hero, and I have recommended them to every new mama I know! I had some damage from a bad latch, and these helped to provide comfort of the damaged area and allow healing to it! They are only designed to be worn for 24 hours, so while they seem expensive, they are absolutely worth it if you have any crack, fissure, or separation.

Absolute must have for breastfeeding!

I have been buying these pads since 2021 and can’t recommend them enough. I first bought them in the early weeks of breastfeeding my firstborn and they were lifesavers! I tried creams and other pads, but these were the most comfortable and comforting. They are not bulky under a bra, easy to apply, sticky enough to stay in place, but not so sticky that they hurt peeling off. I have bought them as gifts for friends starting their breastfeeding journey and have received positive feedback from all of them. I plan on using them with my next baby in a few months!
