Arcadia is the BEST brand to get
Bought this specifically for my chameleon but I use arcadia lights for all of my reptiles. The bulbs are highly rated and last a long time.

Loses ubv potency needs to be replaced every 6-12 months even if light is on
This light is bright, does not give off the annoying electric buz that others often do. Easy to install, weighs nothing, it also came with a connection cord to link multiple lights together so you only have to have one power outlet to run multiple lights. Extremely functional and seems prety durable. The switch is an on off flip switch with no timer option, the expense is high but absolutely worth it to provide what your reptile needs. This is the number one recomended brand for consistency and durability. Please be aware it is recomended to replace your lights every 6-12 months even if the light turns on. Over time it's output loses potency and this could reak havoc when it comes to you pets health. If you want to get the best value for your dollar before you decide to replace your lamp I recomend you buy repti zoo UBV UVA UV lamp testers, they are 7.99 and can save you big money in the long run.

La marca es de buena calidad, el tubo fluorescente está hecho en Alemania, califiqué 4 estrellas porque en el instructivo menciona NO colocar la lámpara SOBRE ó CERCA de agua ( ? ). En la página oficial de Arcadia hay una sección donde tú ingresas la especie de reptil que tienes, y automáticamente aparecen los modelos que Arcadia te recomienda. Yo tengo una tortuga acuática y se me recomendó este producto,¿ mencioné que es acuática ?, acuática = agua. Este modelo y todos con los que cuenta Arcadia están hechos para especies terrestres y NO para acuáticas ( según las intrucciones y característcas del producto ). Por cierto, IP20 indica que el producto no es impermeable y NO tiene protección contra la humedad.

I have a baby red foot tortoise. This light works great on the little cage area. No problems with it and I really like it so far.
