Good real
Bought because the price was right. Used it and like it a lot. The paint scheme is cool too.

Great Reel For the Money
This reel is a great reel for my euro nymphing rig. It's a little on the heavy side, which balances out my euro rod very nicely. I don't do really any casting with it, so can't speak to that aspect, but overall it's a great reel for the money. It's also a really cool pattern.

excellent when it works, testing one year warranty since it is rusted after 7 month
It is great when it worked. Yesterday I could not crank it back, it is rusted on the inside. Lesson learned, buy and load the reel with Fishing Reel Grease. oil destroys the o rings. Amazon cannot get hold of MaximumCatch for direct conversation on warranty. will update once I receive update on the email sent, and see how the 1 year warranty is resolved. 5/13/2023 update ---- received email back 24hrs after inquiry, replacement reel is on the way. Cannot be happier. Great service 5/22/2023 update New reel delivered, after sending them email through Amazon. The Maxcatch is a real deal. love it

Nice looking reel.
This is the second one of these maxcatch reels I’ve bought. For the money it can’t be beat. This one looks great and has smooth bearings. I don’t know that I would completely trust the drag system with big fish but to hold line, reel in smooth and look cool....it hits all those points and is cheap. Sure it’s made in China, but guess what ??? So are 99% of your primo brands. Sage, Lamson etc. ALL made in China

Poor quality. Not as pictured.
Poor quality. Not as pictured. Barely able to spin reel. Arbor grinds and catches. Not usable. Requested replacement. Will update once I receive a new reel if applicable.

Rainbow trout pattern
I love the design. I bought an 8 weight Rainbow trout reel and it feels as great as it looks. Tossed on a WF8F sky blue line on and went long to catch some bass on the river. Drag works great and it was easy to flip the reeling direction. Only complaint would be to toss one of those little clips as extra and to include a cheap bag to keep the reel from getting chipped when stored.

Design Flaw!
I bought the large 7/8 arbor version of this reel while my buddy got the 5/6. Both reels have a problem were the line pulls through the line stop because they cheeped out on the manufacturing were a certain part of the metal doesn't extend into the lip. One of the pictures I provided was actually of a 200$ orvis reel that I have used for years without this problem. Be warned. It's a shame if they didn't miss that detail it would be a working reel. I tried the reel you literally can't strip line off consistently without it wedging through the edge.Yeah it might not be fair to compare to a more expensive reel. But that's your real drawback and I find it unusable it's so annoying.
