great at first but problems later.
I highly recommend this reel for anyone who enjoys lures. Very smooth casting. 7:1 retrieve ratio is great. Get one and try it out. For the price u can't get any better then this. After using this reel I have had problems with the levelwine. It starts to jam and gets stuck. I only used this reel on four trips before it started. Out of the 4 I ordered I have only used two. But it's also hard to adjust thespool tensioner even with all the weights out.

Pflueger doesnt stand by their products.
The brand new Pflueger purist I bought was missing springs on the centrifugal brake. It wouldn't spin freely. I wrote Pflueger, and they told me I could send it to them, so they could decide if it was a manufacturing problem. Forget that. I already knew it was, so I wasn't going to pau for shipping and wait for their answer. I returned the defective Pflueger and bought a Lew's laser mg baitcaster. It has a much better braking system that can be adjusted externally. Its a much better reel. I will never own a Pflueger again. Horrible customer service. Horrible company.
