Really hold up well and dry clean to almost new
Made much better than I thought it would be. Bought it fully expecting to be a one use costume, but we wear them all the time and they haven't shown any wear. They dry clean beautifully and look nice over a 6 tier crinoline.

Great for the price.
I love this dress. I have not officially worn it for my event. I am so excited. Runs small. Size up 1 size. The material is very good for the price. It is not thick.

Runs a bit small
Extraordinarily clever pattern makes this dress passable for Victorian or even Edwardian costumery, POSSIBLY could be made to work for Rococo period, depending on how you select an undergarment and how you accessorize it.I bought one of the cheaper hoop skirt slips, so I made this work for 1860's. If you bought or made a bustle, this could pass for 1870's. If you can get your hands on a good substantial bumpad, you could probably get away with making this dress work for Marie Antoinette/Enlightenment/1780's, but again accessories and hairstyle/millenery will be crucial, as the colors are a bit more Victorian. (You may need white lace, for example).Definitely cheesy synthetic fabric, but the blue fabric was eye-catching and I received many compliments on it.I ordered a large, very glad I did. I am really more of a medium, like a Misses size 10, and the shoulders and hips were just right for me. Rest of torso can be adjusted by using the lace-up back, which was a godsend for me, keeping my bustline and waist snug.Anyway, this will pass the "squint" test, but make it work with careful accessorizing (easy to do a little research online for period fashions).

Soo many compliments! Loved it! Neck color on the back I bought separately.

Exactly as pictured
This look exactly the way it does in the listing. I have on a petticoat under it to poof it out. Fabric is thin but not bad. The size is accurate. I’m a size 14/16 bust 40d, I got an extra large. Zipper is on the side. TIP: I tied a knot on the strings then put hair pins in the knots to string the back into the loop holes. Then removed the hair pins.

The corset is not functional
The corset is not functional. You can't even pull it slightly. I laced it and my daughter stretched and it looked like to would pop and I had not even tightened it yet. I had her take it off.

Missing parts...
The dress is great. but the choker was missing... I'm a little sad. I don't have time to return it and get a new one...
