Can I use it for silk and wool products?

I don't know about silk but It's best not to use any detergent on wool. So do not use this product on wool. Either use a product specifically for wool, or use a shampoo that does not contain conditioner. Baby shampoo works very well.

can I use it for bras?

Yes! It's perfect! I've been using Forever New powder for years with my expensive French bras (wash by hand and line dry after every wearing) and they last for years, so not so expensive in the long run. (I NEVER put them in the washing machine!) I think the scent is very mild and fresh - I like it.

About how many loads of wash will one get from a 32oz bottle?

Gosh, I really haven't counted, but it is a LOT. We have a front-loading washing machine so I usually just put a heaping capful in, and the cap, as you can see, is not particularly deep. For hand wash in a bathroom sink, just a teaspoon or less is all it takes, so the stuff lasts a good long time. Since the bottle contents goes by weight and the soap powder is light, i'd venture to guess you'd get over 32 uses. I love this stuff! A clerk at Nordstrom's lingerie dept. recommended it--they sell it there-- and she was correct about how great it is. Also, I only wash my undies on the Delicates cycle, with bras in a zippered wash bag, and I NEVER put any of it in the dryer. It's is too hard on the elastic. Hope this helps!

How long is the shelf life?

It is a powder. I have had mine for years. It lasts a long time cause I only use a tiny amount for handwashables.I highly recommend this product, it brings new life to stretchy fabrics.

LOVE this stuff

LOVE this stuff! This is the fists big bottle I have bought as I normally buy the smaller bottle. Would have preferred the unperfumed version but that doesn't seem to be available in this size. Started using Forever New after making purchase of Prima Donna lingerie which was a large expense so wanted to ensure they stayed in good condition - hence being forever just like new. So easy to use, just add warm water to disolve and soak your bras for 5 minutes before rinsing. What could be easier?
