Great lock, almost perfect!
We have owned this lock for 1 year. (I wrote this review at 2 months, but we still love the lock, and even bought the cheaper code only version for the back door, since we could share the wifi bridge with multiple locks.)Ok, first of all, installation was a breeze. We were replacing a manual deadbolt, and I'm not even sure we looked at the directions - everything went together without a hitch!Setup was pretty easy too, though if you set it up from the lock itself, and then you want to use the app, you'll have to reset the lock and start over. But even with setting up, resetting and doing it again from the app, we were up and running in about 30 minutes. The lock detects my and my wife's fingerprints just fine. My mom, who is 92, not so much. We assumed her complaints about not being able to grip with her finger tips any more was a grip strength issue, not a friction issue, but maybe not - this lock just does not recognize her fingerprints. It allows her to save them, but when she goes to open the door, it rejects her every time. But as she doesn't go out on her own any more, and her code works fine, so it's not a big deal. The fingerprint is more so we can get in quickly if there is an issue, without having to have her key in hand, so it is fine for us.The app is good, and simple to use. Sometimes it doesn't connect on the first try, but it's like it times out too early, as the second try is always successful. There are indicators in the app as to what method it is using to connect, which is good to see what it's trying to do.It's very simple to add a user to the lock, and I like that you can choose for each user if they have a code, a fingerprint, or the app, or any combination. Each user is allowed two fingerprints. (I saw another user saying "only two?" but for me, based on height and doorjamb, I really ever only use my thumbs to open the lock, and 95% my left thumb. It's too awkward otherwise.) You can also disable a user without deleting that user. We have a code that is shared with the neighbors if we go out of town, but when we are in town, we disable that user. A user can also have scheduled times or days when it works; for example, you could allow a health worker access between 9 and 12 every weekday, but nothing else outside of those hours and days. You can set up a temporary code for say a repair person, that expires after one use. I've never seen quite so many options on a lock! The only "connected" service I've tried this with is IFTTT, and I'm disappointed in that. I have motion sensors set up in the house to "see" if my Mom is moving around (in a non-invasive way) and the triggers feed a spreadsheet. I'd like the lock to do the same thing, and IFTTT is set up correctly to do so as it works occasionally. Maybe 1 in 10, but that's generous. I know that it *should* work, because the text notification I get seems to work 100% of the time. So I don't really have a theory as to why the other fails - both are internet based - if one works the other should. To respond to a few other reviews I saw: It's never given me a "lock jammed" warning. It's never lost its memory on "handing" - whether the lock is installed left side or right side. I don't use the "automatic unlock" feature. We purchased this lock to give us anytime access to the house without having to find the key, and to allow outside access to the house if necessary - she wears a medical alert device, and now the responders can get in if needed. So everything else is fluff, and we are very happy with this lock!

Wonderful smart deadbolt, but configuration can be difficult
The U-Bolt Pro fit perfectly in my door to replace my older "dumb" deadbolt. No hassles there-- easy to adjust for diameter of door hole and distance of the hole from the edge of door. Was able to use the previous lock's strike plate in the door frame. The outside part of the lock (with the keypad and fingerprint sensor) has some wires with a rectangular plug that fits into the inside half of the lock mechanism. There was nothing in the instructions on how to properly orient the plug, which could apparently go in both ways. However, on installation, I could open and close the lock with the phone app and by twisting the inside knob (like on any deadbolt), but the outside keypad and fingerprint reader didn't function. The phone app also did not offer the option of programming the fingerprint sensor. There was no mention of this problem in the installation guide, so I had to search online for advice (no support available on weekends). It appeared that there might be a problem with the electronic connection between halves of the lock. I took the two halves apart and re-seated the wires with the plug oriented in the opposite direction. Then, the keypad worked, but I still couldn't program the fingerprint reader. Again, no advice in the limited printed directions. Very frustrating.I decided to wipe the memory of the lock (again, found out how to do this online), reset it to factory configuration with the pin provided, deleted my phone app and reloaded it, and then re-programmed the lock from the beginning. This time , it asked to register the fingerprint of all users as they were added (which it didn't do before) and it finally works fine. I was able to plug in the included WiFi bridge in a nearby outlet and connected it to my WiFi. This was a bit of a hassle because it cannot connect to a 5G network. Fortunately, my router also has a 2.4 GHz network, which worked. Now I can control the lock from anywhere I have a WiFi connection. The keypad and fingerprint reader work perfectly.Aside from the installation hassles (caused by a poor initial electronic connection between the two parts of the lock-- I blame myself mostly), the lack of 5G internet support, the total absence of problem-solving instructions, and lack of weekend support, I think this actually is a great product. I am very happy with it. Just be careful to assure that the electronic connection between the outside and inside lock parts is properly made before trying to program the lock!!! Be sure to use a less than 5G WiFi network. INstall on a weekday. Then you're all set.

Brilliant Design! A Bit Pricey .... But You Get What You Pay For .... And This Is Superior Quality.
18 months ago, I replaced an existing deadbolt with the U-Bolt Pro. It's clear to me that much creative thought and skill went into designing this lock. It's a high quality product with a user-friendly app and I'd recommend it to anyone. It's not only the design that's high quality but the way the components of this product have been manufactured is also of high quality with most parts apparently made of heavy-duty solid brass or iron.Having this product installed was a huge benefit for me after recent major surgery as I was able to unlock my front door for visiting home care nurses without ever having to leave my bed upstairs! The reason that I haven't given it a rating of '5' on all dimensions is twofold (and neither should be a reason to avoid this product):1. After 18 months the fingerprint reader failed. But this failure was made up for by excellent responsive customer service who even seem to work late on weekend evenings! Ultraloq sent me a replacement keypad (that houses the fingerprint reader) and last night, with the assistance of Ultraloq's helpful customer service staff, I successfully installed this on my second attempt and the product now works perfectly again.2. To enable this deadbolt to be controlled from anywhere in the world, you need to buy a WiFi bridge that you plug into any nearby wall outlet. It's a pity that this module is not incorporated into the lock itself but may be a feature, rather than a bug in that if WiFi were incorporated into the lock itself, the frequency of battery replacement could well be a major inconvenience as WiFi uses quite alot of juice.WiFi bridge

Could've kept my normal lock
I wouldn't say I'm fully ecstatic about the purchase but I am happy with the purchase. The installation was super easy, it comes with 2 keys just in case & I keep one on my keyring in case the batteries do die but you get alerted when the battery's low so really not a big deal. I only used the key to ensure it actually worked & it does. Great thing about this is the fact that you won't have to cut a bunch of keys for those who tend to lose them, especially if you have kids. Everyone in my household has their print &/or code for entry & I can also see whenever they enter digitally which is cool. You can also set a schedule for certain users to enter your house so if you have cleaners coming to your house you can set schedule for when they're allowed to enter. There's even a full "lockout" function that does exactly what it states; no matter who you are, you won't be able to enter unless someone physically lets you in. The bridge itself started off great but has been giving me issues recently & the Ultraloq customer service never answers nor gets back to you which stinks. I know we're supposed to be rating the product but I rate everything as a whole so if it wasn't for the horrid customer service & bridge issue, this would've been a 5-star rating.***UPDATE***It no longer works! After multiple emails & calls, I was finally able to get in touch with customer service for them to tell me that they're aware that there's a fault in the device but I missed my warranty by a month so there's nothing they can do but offer a discount on another or I can PURCHASE some wire to fix the issue myself like I'm an IT. So now I have a fancy looking lock & key.

Bought in Sept 2020 and love it! updated 8/2022
Update 8/2022, This lock has worked flawlessly since we installed it! Can't recommend this highly enough. Would defiantly purchase again.I was wanting some very specific things in a smart lock, one fingerprint ID, be able to use a physical code and also be able to use a key if all else failed, like the battery. This lock does it all along with a phone app, if for some reason it doesn't lock correctly the phone app notifies you. It also works with Alexa which is a bonus for us. It is low profile and easy to install. I can't say enough good things about it. Everything I wanted and then some. Now I want this same company to make a padlock with the same features. Oh and I have all 11 family members fingerprints loaded on the device and can program a one time code if I need to let a friend or neighbor into the house when I'm not home. This is really convenient. To summarize, if WIFI goes down and the battery fails I can still get into my house with a key. You need the WIFI for the app and fingerprint I think, and nothing will work if the battery fails. But no worries because an old school key will work just as well. I have a lock box for the key that is coded. We have very limited space for the lock to be installed in, because of windows and trim. This lock doesn't need much space and because it's so low profile it looks good. Not in your face lookie I'm a smart lock!yep you can buy less expensive but honestly not better, this is worth the price tag.

So thrilled with this lock
I had a Kwikset smart lock for 6 years and it was awful. Really convenient when it worked, but usually its batteries were dead. Finally I replaced it with this lock. I LOVE THIS LOCK. It's SO UGLY but I guess that's why its price is so much lower than its functionality would suggest. I installed it easily by myself. I never got the Alexa app to work at all: 90% of the time it said the lock was locked, without regard to whether it actually was or not, and it rarely unlocked when told to do so. I uninstalled the Alexa app, and I just tell Alexa to trigger it through IFTTT instead. The only drawback is you can't ask it for its status. But it locks and unlocks very reliably by voice. The bridge has to be pretty close to the lock. The instructions say 10 feet. What the instructions did not say is that the bridge also has to be pretty close to the router. Putting it 4 feet closer to the router made the difference; that is, I had to mount the bridge near the ceiling (the router is upstairs) rather than plugging it directly into the wall outlet below. The fingerprint reader doesn't work as reliably as I would like. But the numeric buttons are flawless. I love the belt and suspenders and another belt and more suspenders, meaning the hidden key entry, and the port that gives it power to unlock from outside in case the batteries are dead (and you don't have a key but you can get your hands on a power pack). It has been 2 months since I installed it and there has not been any hiccup yet, beyond working out the initial programming and bridge setup (and discarding the Alexa app).

Feature Rich Smart Lock
Through out the past few years I have purchased two other keyless entry locks. The problem with them is there was only one way to enter with out the key if that failed you were not getting in with out having a physical key. So I purchased this one because it has multiple options for locking and unlocking the door. I installed this lock with out issue. Configured it with only one issue, and set up my family with access. So the problem and I assume it was my fault. When I installed it the device was set to auto lock. I switched that off (I thought), I went through the process a couple of times to turn off the auto lock. Finally it looked like it held. Later than night I had a medical emergency, requiring an ambulance response. My wife went down and unlocked the door when the medics arrived, by the time they got to the door it had automatically locked. So she went down and unlocked it again and let the EMTs in. A few minutes later the ambulance arrived by then the door had locked again so she had to go and let them in as well. When I recovered from my emergency I checked the settings and it was on auto lock again. I turned it off again that was about a week ago and it has remained off. Over all I am happy with the lock and the functionality. I guess the next step is to see if it continues to work for along time.Update: I have had this lock now for over half a year. My wife is a technophobe and she even likes it. Enough that she suggested we get another one for the back door. It is very convenient especially working at home. My home office is in the basement but I can let people in without having to run up stairs. I can use the app or Alexa to unlock the door. When I had an expected visitor and was tied up on a conference call for work I was able to let them in without dropping from the conference call. This is without a doubt one of the best smart devices I have purchased.

WiFi seems very iffy
I purchased the lock that included the bridge because I really wanted to be able to control the lock from anywhere. The lock installed very easily and was up and running very quickly. The app is fairly straight forward, and I was able to connect via Bluetooth (BT) very easily (you have to connect via BT before you can connect to the WiFi). Connected to BT everything works pretty seamlessly and if that's all I wanted I'd probably rate it between a 4.5 and a 5. However, as I mentioned above, I really want to control it from anywhere. The bridge has to be within 10 feet and in direct line of sight. Mine is within 5 feet and very much in line of sight (see attached photo). I have an Orbi Mesh router and so disabled the 5 Ghz band so that only the 2.4 Ghz was broadcasting. It took several attempts to make a good connection but when it did finally connect everything seemed to work fine. I have MANY smart devices in my home and all of them work with 2.4 Ghz even AFTER I reenable the 5 Ghz band so that I can run the router in AX mode. Unfortunately, this product DOES NOT work in AX mode and if you reenable the 5Ghz band the WiFi connection doesn't work. I've looked for possible solutions and have tried several of them. Unfortunately, none of them worked. The Orbi router (and I suspect any commercial grade mesh router) will not allow me to block the MAC address on only the 5Ghz band which might have helped if I could do it. Anyway, when I check the devices attached to my router when in both AC and AX mode the U-tec shows up and in both cases shows as being connected to 2.4 Ghz but for whatever reason it doesn't work. I'll keep trying and if I can get it to work with the Mesh router in AX mode then I'll keep it, because the alternative would be to run the router in AC mode and give up the advantages of AX just for this lock. If I can't I'll return it. I've ordered a couple other ones to test them, and since they use a more standard Gateway rather than the U-tec proprietary bridge, which I suspect is the problem. I'll update the review when I've sorted that out. If you are happy with only the BT connection or are not using a Mesh router this could be a 4–5-star item, but if you have a Mesh router you will most likely be disappointed.UPDATE 12/6/22: After a week of trying to get it to work with my Mesh router it would not work while in AX mode, so I am sending it back. I otherwise liked the lock but will try a different smart lock that uses a G2 gateway rather than a proprietary bridge. As a Mesh router user, I'd give this 2-stars, If I wasn't using a Mesh router, I'd give it a little higher than 4 stars, so a 3-star rating overall.

Pretty accessible even for a blind person to create profiles on the digital lock👍👍👍
I like that the number pad is tactile, one of the few if not only digital lock i found usable by the number pad for a blind person. The keys are made of rubber, and has a springy feel to it. It is around the fingerprint sensor in a circle, somewhat like an old-fashioned telephone padThumbprint sensor is sensitive and I as specially found the automatic unlock function when I am nearing very handy when my hands are full. Only complaint is I have to go far enough from the property for it to recognise that I am coming back and automatically unlocking.Overall a fantastic product at a very affordable price point that is accessible and easy to use.

Super buen producto

Seamless Apple Key Experience and Excellent Support
I’ve been using the ULTRALOQ Bolt NFC Smart Lock for a while now, and overall I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performs.⭐ Apple Home Key IntegrationThe standout feature for me is Apple Home Key. It works flawlessly — fast, reliable, and incredibly convenient. Both locking and unlocking work directly from my iPhone and Apple Watch with a simple tap, and the reaction time is almost instant.⭐ Key Card vs Apple KeyThe included key card** only unlocks** the door, not lock it. It’s not a big issue, but worth noting. To compensate, I enabled auto‑lock, which works well for my setup.⭐ Customer ServiceCustomer service has been exceptional. I opted into some testing features, and when an issue occurred, ULTRALOQ actually contacted me before I even realised something was wrong. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it remotely — a level of support I rarely see.⭐ Build Quality & Door FitThe lock itself feels solid and well‑made. The door sensor doesn’t perfectly match my door structure, but since I don’t rely on the sensor for auto‑locking, it hasn’t affected my usage.⭐ Battery LifeDuring the early testing phase, battery drain was higher than expected. After a firmware update, the battery performance improved significantly and is now much more in line with what I’d expect from a WiFi‑enabled smart lock.⭐ Overall ValueFor the price — especially with Apple Home Key included — this lock offers excellent value. It’s fast, convenient, secure, and backed by responsive customer support. I’m very happy with the overall experience.

Boa
Muito boa mas não consegui sincronizar de outro bairro por exemplo (era o que eu mais queria para poder controlar o acesso de longe). Para usar a fechadura pelo celular tem que estar ao lado da porta (não faz sentido pra mim).
