RealtreeMen's Insect Shield Over The Calf Socks

Socks are comfortable and have enough stretch to tuck in pants for walking in buggy areas (trying to avoid ticks and chiggers). Longevity is unknown but visually they are a well made, quality product.

Hard to put on. Thick socks. Comes up to knee.

These are great socks for a great price. They are perfect for early season deer hunting or spring turkey hunting. I have purchased 4 pairs now. I have yet to have a hole or tear in any of them. I typically hunt 2-3 days per week and wash between wearing and they have all help up very well.

These are pretty good and they stop those tiny black mosquitos that have shown up in Southern CA since covid that bite only the claves and feet and itch like crazy and bite and same spot over and over again leading to infection. I've tried the medium and the very largest size. Both fit fine (despite the warnings about ordering too large) and I am normal weight and 6ft. The issue is they doubled material by folding it over itself at the top of sock but did not make the opening wide enough so you end up with itchy circulation cutting rings pressed into your skin below the knees. I think part of the issue is these companies have got caught up in the diabetes industries (that's exactly what it is) edema compression sock game and they and cheap out and just keep the compression weaves and materials across their product lines when those really aren't healthy or comfortable for ordinary use because they are constrictive. Doesn't seem to be the case for the body of these sock whereas something like that seems to be the case in the competitors I've tried. Something is wrong if most of the skin covered by the sock has a braded appearance after taking the sock off and there isn't any undelying condition- but again thankfully not the case with these. These are almost perfect but I end up taking scissors to the top and cutting at the front and the back all the way through the ring of material that rings the top. I wish the doubled over material at the top was eliminated. Cut they have just enough clinging power to stay up and they are woven in a way that even after cutting they don't fray and still come up high enough. I don't like the idea that these socks have permethrin bug poison impregnated or bound into the synthetic materials but it seems at least for me that this is somehow effective against these horrid damn little mosquitos that are smaller than knats where these things will bite right through other socks so maybe the scent of the chemical and thick weave are dissuasive.The padding at the heals and toes is nice and they hold up to a lot of walking around at home without shoes and hold up in the wash. I really hope these mosquitos go as quickly as they came. Wish I found these earlier on.

Someone who doesn't get impressed or excited easily to like these socks enough to actually write a positive review should tell you alot. These socks are comfortable, relatively light weight and also repel insects. Wearing them in the woods on 40-80 degree F days with snake boots has been great so far.

We bought this to avoid bug bite on a tropical field trip next month. The product looks decent. Will test its functionality soon!

I bought a pair of these a couple years ago just for tick protection. As far as I know, I got no ticks from the few dozen times I've worn them for walks and working in the yard. Lately though I noticed these are just my favorite socks for long walks. When I wore some other crew socks with my lightweight hiking shoes, I was getting sores and other problems on my feet. When I wore these, my feet feel better at the end of the day's walk. Maybe it is just a matter of fit with my walking shoes, but good enough voodoo for me that I've ordered another pair.

Excelente la calceta muy buen material, es algo gruesa pero perfecto para andar en el monte con tus botas.No se si funciona contra insectos aún no lo he podido comprobar. Pero las últimas 3 salidas de camping no he tenido problema en la piernas por piquetes ni nada similar
