Will this effect 10gb over long distances(like 300m)?

This will not “affect it” but it will not allow you to go beyond your distance limits. Think of this like a coupler to attach two water hoses together as an extension. If you plug it into a switch you can then regenerate the signal to go further if needed. This will not affect it in the sense of making the signal bad or anything either.
