RANGE NAME: Avon Pine Bed . This is a heavy duty bed, tested to take a weight up to 40 stone. We only use solid pine 19mm pine base slats, not cheap plywood. The base has a strong centre rail supported by metal brackets with centre leg. The side rail is supported by DETACHABLE support legs. The product is sold for easy home assembly.

Really good value but be prepared for a DIY experience not a quick or easy assembly job.
Overall, I'm very happy with our bed now it's finished. Delivery was delayed and the tracking info via Amazon very poor, so I belatedly read some reviews, was a bit alarmed by some of them but I can now see they are mostly due to incorrect expectations. These products are exceptionally good Value, and good Quality given the very competitive price level, but: 1. Don't expect an easy IKEA-style self-assembly - be ready for a substantial DIY effort. 2. What you get is raw, smooth-sanded timber - you can leave it like that for a quick, cheap'n'cheerful bed but if your standards are a bit higher, need to plan an extra couple of days to apply stain/varnish/wax or paint. 3. Top tip: only assemble it in the room where you plan to use it! They're tricky to get through doors and round corners! (NB re the poor Amazon tracking info, once you get to the company's own tracking system it's excellent.)
