RemingtonDurablade Shaver and Trimmer, 100% Waterproof, Ergonomic with USB Cable - MB010

This product was clearly inspired by the oneblade by Philips, therefore I will do a review directly based on a comparison of the two products as I own both.Remington and the one blade feel the same in the hand, easy to hold and usable, they are both mobile items, both are water proof and both shave to the same length or at least I did not notice any difference in them.The one blade requires replacement of blades and I'm tired of buying the expect blades if I'm honest, don't know why there so expensive, the Remington on the other hand states a 5 year blade life, I cant comment on this, I will be back in five years.. However if this is true, then the Remington wins hands down.The one blade does cut the hair on the face much easier than the Remington, however the Remington did not pull hair it just means I had to go over the face hair a few times to cut evenly. Therefore the one-blade does give a easier cut if your in a rush but we are talking an extra couple of minutes for the Remington blade.Shaving and styling the intermit private area has always been a difficult one for me, i find the ball flesh getting trimmed with the hair a constant concern, the one blade is useless for this body area, were as the Remington was excellent, this is a massive pro for me. The blade guards you get with one-blade are truly useless, were as the guards with the Remington work a charm.IN A NUT SHELL:The one-blade cuts easier but is useless for the private areas.The Remington cuts the private areas excellently and the guards work flawlessly.The Remington is a better device to use in my opinion, the single pro of the one blade does not out way the pros of the Remington.Worth the money. I just hope the blade lasts as long as they say as its unremovable. the blade its self does look far more robust than one blades, and does look like a super mini head clipper blade and through my experience these last a long time. I also use the Remington head shavers and the blade is lasting on this item too, a little olive oil every now and then keeps the blades in good sharp nic.

I've tried this product out for a while now and initially I had mixed feelings about it, but now I can say I truly hate it. Using is like playing sudoku: the experience can be great but eventually it just ends up pulling your hair out.So initially, I read some reviews of people saying about this problem but I hadn't had an issue personally so I thought they must be using it wrong, going to fast, or not rinsing the blades out between strokes; like a traditional blade. I was so wrong.I've had it two months now, using it on my head and beard and it's fine if you use it every day. It's like couple of hours long stubble, which was great for me as no shaving rash. Boy, if you leave more than a day though the hair gets jammed under the blade and the mechanism starts ripping your hair out, like a really slow wax job.I think I would have better luck with a cheese grater.Weirdly, my wife's cheap, Chinese, knock off electric razor does it a treat though ;) shhhhh

I've been using this item for some time now & I'm really impresssed.Its simple in its design, easy to use and trims very nicely.Yes it can nick you. I mean if you're not paying attention to cutting blades (protected or not) near your nether regions you're either a massochist or dumb!So yes I'd recommend it. Yes it does a good job!

Honestly, I'm treating as suspect the claims by some reviews that this rips hair out. They really sound to me like competitors trying to sabotage sales of rival products by poisoning reviews.I sought this shaver out, the brand specifically, because the Remington shaver I currently have has been completely reliable for about ten years now (it's a single rechargeable AA, and the battery is still very good, quite remarkable for a rechargeable battery). It's never ripped hair out of my face - until recently - and that is because *I* have messed with it. I've had the whole thing apart a couple of times and now one of the tiny screws holding the shaver plate flat won't stay in place and keeps popping out so that the plate opens away from the other plate making for hair ripping - so, that is MY fault.I tried this one and find it shaves ever better (closer) than my first one, so I'm quite happy about that. Not a single hair rip, no rawness, nothing negative in how it shaves (and my face is sensitive). I'm a bit bewildered by the charging. The LED is orange, out of the box. I put it on charge waiting for it to turn green for charged. It didn't. Apparently orange IS the charged indicator, so it came fully charged.I don't like that it's USB charging and not battery, but I couldn't get one the same as I have. In my view the cable really doesn't sit well into the shaver, either. Nor do I like the packaging; it's really tough, sharp card that is hard to open and it's so sharp, in fact, that I cut my finger on the corner whilst fighting free the shaver for use. Aside from that I do like this shaver. Time will tell if it will last as long a my other Remington.

Doesn't work. Spent a LONG time researching beard trimmers online as I'm fed up with them lasting a year. Thought the OneBlade looked good but wasn't prepared to buy disposable blades, so tried this. It's not the same design as OneBlade at all. I wanted it for beard trimming (cutting general length to 4mm and defining edges). It's just about okay at the edge work, although not easy to control where you want it. When trimming my beard (which was only 1mm longer then the target length) it just kept pulling hairs every few seconds, I had to go over areas many many times in different directions and still wasn't convinced by the result. In the end I gave up after one side even though I was going to a christening, the other side just wasn't worth the pain!
