Absolutely top notch for brewing and serving both coffee and tea!
This has become my favorite of all my brewing equipment for more than one cup of coffee. It's faster than my pour over and because the coffee steeps, it uses less coffee than the pour over. Also, the reuseable mesh filter is easier to use than the paper filters for the pour over. It's also great for brewing tea. There's a filter so you can put the loose tea right in the pot if you're serving several people at one time. Or, to nurse the pot of tea for hours like I do, you can use the mesh filter and dispose of the tea leaves when brewing is complete. But, the real kicker to this carafe is it keeps beverages hot for hours, I just finished the pot I made eleven hours ago and it was still hot! It can also be used for cold brew coffee using cold water instead of hot and allowing the coffee to steep in the refrigerator over night. It also keeps beverages cold for hours on end. A great insulated carafe for brewing and serving both coffee and tea! And it looks great too.

Well Crafted and Functional
The media could not be loaded. I like it, here's why:---PROs:---1) HEAT RETENTION:> The inside of the carafe is lined with stainless steel. If the carafe is pre-heated*, then beverages will remain at the initial brew temp for 2-3 hours. After 2 hours it cools about 5-10 degrees an hour depending on how often the lid or button vent are opened, and the temperature of the room.> The external body and lid of the carafe remain at a comfortable room temperature to the touch; no matter how hot or cold its contents.*pre-heat the carafe by leaving near boiling water in it for 5-10 minutes (rest the lid on top, but don't screw it on), then discard the water and immediately add your heated drink of choice.2) NO LEAKS:If you have the lid securely screwed on and the button vent closed, then you aren't likely to experience leaks if you accidently knock the carafe onto its side (see video).3) FORM:> Size: a small footprint, yet holds plenty (base = 4” wide, height = 9.5” including lid / capacity: 40oz).> Handle: The length and location of the handle provides strain free pouring to the last drop. The the wood is smooth and warm, and has not discolored, splintered, or loosened after daily for the last month.> Spout: Provides a surprisingly controlled pour - allows fast but clean decanting or a slow and smooth stream for pour-over coffee or small tea pots/gaiwans (but don't expect goose-neck level control). Always a drip-less finish - no dribbles for this carafe! (see video)4) COLOR/FINISH:The white carafe is truly white - matches my white porcelain gaiwan nicely. The outside finish is very lightly textured (not slippery), pleasant to touch and very easy to clean. The white has not stained, even after being exposed to very dark teas and a surprise coffee splash accident.5) ACCESSORIES:The included strainers are well made and very fine (one mesh, and one stainless steel); I doubt much of anything aside from liquid is getting past either. The stainless strainer is pressure attached and fits snuggly into place under the lid - comes off easily, but isn't going to pop off on it's own. The mesh strainer simply sits inside the carafe. Both strainers are easy to clean and dry.6) GOOD FOR GONGFU TEA BREWING:I use this carafe to hold hot water so that I can have Gongfu tea brewing sessions anywhere in the house. For fellow Gongfu Tea Brewers: This carafe holds about 10 brews worth (each brew is 4 ounces - the amount of a standard gaiwan).---CONs:---THE LID:> Liquids pass THROUGH the lid via 2 cut-outs on the underside (see video), then out through the spout; the lid is hollow and plastic, and cannot be internally reached with tools to clean; although, it can be washed by swishing the lid in hot soapy water IMMEDIATELY after using the carafe.> The lid and mesh strainer is all plastic and plastic holds on to smells. So, I would be hesitant to use one carafe for multiple types of drinks because I don't want to risk contaminating my orange juice with coffee flavors or my hot tea with fruit punch. But honestly, this is a problem with many carafe's so can't really call this a major fault. In all, I really like this carafe and may buy a second to dedicate to coffee.

Stylish & Practical
I absolutely love the Hastings Collective MYSA White Tea Pot (1.2L). It’s the perfect size for brewing several cups of tea at once, whether you’re enjoying a quiet moment alone or hosting a small tea party. The design is simple yet elegant, and it adds a nice touch to any table. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the spout pours smoothly without any drips. It’s a great everyday teapot that’s both functional and stylish. I’ve been using it daily, and I couldn’t be happier with it!

Best Selection!
100% recommended, it is a very good quality, perfect size, everything as listed, got two one for me for coffee and one for my partner for tea. We both love it and the filter it is a great addition because it does not allowed the leaves from tea to come into your cup! Keeps the liquid for long time warm.

Perfect; the exact amount my pour over kettle heats.
I love the sleek design and the high quality of the Hastings products, in that there is no plastic interacting with my coffee. We also own the larger pot that we use at our business.I especially love the fact that it won't break if I knock it against the side of the sink, and that it keeps the coffee hot for hours. I do have to use the Hario filter holder, as I don't relish the Hastings filter sitting inside the pot on this set-up where you have to reach into a hot pot to retrieve the hot filter and grounds.I'd advise a re-design for Hastings so that there's some kind of handle to pull out the filter without burning one's fingers. A lot of people, as we get older, loose touch sensitivity and don't always feel when our skin is getting burned. Also, the shape of the Hastings filter isn't ideal for pour-over. I use Chemex filters with the Hario filter-holder.

Beautiful carafe that stays hot for a long time, but lid does NOT filter tea leaves
I got the 40oz carafe in black. First of all, I really love the aesthetic of this carafe and the matte black body + light wood handle are very attractive. It comes with 2 different kinds of filters and all the parts are high quality and easy to clean. I've left hot tea in it overnight and it's still warm the next morning (10 hours!)However, my biggest complaint and the reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the lid doesn't have a filter. That means when you pour with either of the internal tea filters inside the carafe, tea leaves will flood your cup. I know you're thinking "Why don't you just remove the tea leaves?" - When I drink expensive loose leaf tea I can often brew it 3 times or more, and removing the inner filter EVERY time I pour a cup is very inconvenient. Removing the inner filter for each carafe of tea is also annoying because it's boiling hot, and I have to put my dripping filter on a plate where the tea leaves get cold.Overall, I still plan to use the carafe every day, but it's not as easy as I imagined. I wish Hastings could implement a small quality of life change and add mesh over the opening, or something similar!
