is there any significant difference between steel, copper or nickel coated bbs?

yes, the significant differences are rust resistance and traction resistance, ideally you don't want any traction in your projectiles because traction slows down the projectiles, rust however is more of a problem as not only could it cause the bb to get jammed in your barrel, it can also scratch and or line tiny rust particles in your barrel causing speed resistance in your projectiles. copper has more potential for resistance then most other metals, as they like to rust easy, steel bbs I would guess are mid tier as I have had to replace my steel brake lines that rusted apart in my jeep, I did a little research and found nickel coated metals have a greater resistance to rust, so nickel coated bbs would also have a greater resistance to rust. the smoother the surface the bb and barrel has the less resistance the bb has to deal with thus making it go farther and hit harder. rust takes away your smooth surfaces, will cause resistance and weakens and deteriorates your metals thus causing far greater resistance when the lack of maintenance is prolonged and will cause more likelihood of operation failures do to the rust buildup. so take what you will from this statement, I just know there are differences and its better to say nothing then to put a lazy and wrong answer of no to a question such as this.

I believe that does mean grams.

Will this bottle dispense one bb at a time?

The BB's are smaller then the opening. I'd say if you pour them slowly you might be able to get one at a time.
