I do see the difference. I upgraded my aquarium so I bought this glass hood, versus the old back hood. I recommend all aquariums lose the black hood go to this glass hood. Fit like a charm. I got the standard for my aquarium. Came in fast. The handle, the 3m that comes on it needs to have 2 sided tape to help reinforce it in place. Just peel the 3m sticker off add the 2 sided tape then attach to the hood.. trust me.. Other than that the hardest was to get the cutting to fit backing. But I still highly recommend.

This was probably one of my more favorite customer to seller experience purchases on Amazon. They reached out to me several ways to verify that what I had purchased was indeed the right fit for my tank. Probably to avoid returning the product, which is completely understandable. The package came very secured, which I should of took a picture… I would of been surprised if it came damaged. The glass lid fit my tank exactly as I had hoped for and I will update with pictures once I get around to putting on the back plastic piece and cutting out a few sections to accommodate my fluval filter and lid handle. I have NOTHING bad to say about this purchase. I have 18 more tanks that will now be getting canopy tops from this business. Clean, extremely well packaged, specific and obvious step by step instructions if it is even the slightest bit damaged, crystal clear, clean smooth cuts of glass. You won’t regret it!

It goes together just like the video shows. They also reached out to verify that I had measured it before they shipped it out - nice customer service. Everything went together as described. I needed a fold in the front of the glass to have access to the tank (feeding / cleaning) so I ordered one that was actually 2 pieces joined at the factory. The only caveat is that even with the measuring, the plastic part that you can cut to make room for the tubes / filter was not as wide as the full with of the tank after attaching it to the glass. It's on there, but the glass and the plastic backing don't fit snuggly on the lip of the tank so it did make me a bit uncomfortable when I first put it in, but it didn't fall in and has worked out after all.

I ordered this glass canopy with custom measurements. Arrived on time and in one piece. Very well packed and bubble-wrapped. But it was easy to put together, the edges were properly dulled down, so no risk of cutting myself, and it fit just right. Beautiful, clear, solid glass. Delivering custom-manufactured goods with great customer service is, it seems, not yet a lost art.

Too big for my 37 gallon tank and too small for my 20 gallon long and my 29 gallon tanks. And its non returnable. Very expensive, for what it is, and the glass is really thin.

Great product doesn’t get full 5 stars because I didn’t get the handle with it.

I am going to purchase a second for my smaller aquarium. It is great to buy something so well made, reasonably prices and sent well packed.
