Great product, only one failed after 10 years and Netgear replaced it for free within 2 days!
I have used these same network switches for about 11 years. I have 5 in my home for my network system. It is a large home with three floors and two offices. I tie in 3 servers, 6 tower computers, one laptop, 4 laser printers, digital scanners, 2 digital security video systems, ROKUs, and multiple AP systems to cover my home and yard. I also have two WIFI systems with high power AP points. I have had great luck with these switches. I did have one fail after 10 years and I called the company and I was sent a replacement at no charge and it arrived within 2 days. Since then I have purchased two more as spares and for expansion into our finished basement. I will only purchase Netgear switches based on the product quality, performance and great customer support I have seen. They stand behind their lifetime warranty and because of that I am a loyal customer. This is a very reliable company and they stand behind their company's products with a first class warranty! It is installed as a network hub in my basement and it is working fine. Great quality product. I highly recommend this unit. I like that these hubs are no maintenance and they are plug and play. They work well and last without any issues. Top quality with good support and a great warranty! What I like is that they work so well you almost forget about them being in your network system. Why buy a second class product when you can have a top quality product at a great price and with the best warranty around? My past experience with this product has proven to me that it is superior quality with excellent product support. I have purchased more of these units for use in my home as I like the quality and customer support. It is nice knowing that this is a reliable high-tech supplier that stands behind their product.

Robust and Reliable
This is the "business class" switch primarily for small office/home office and does cost a little more than cheaper switches. But what you get is a nice, self-cooling (fanless/noiseless), rugged metal case, easy plug 'n play connectivity and a great warranty (which I doubt you'll ever need). Even has an on/off switch. I use two: one in order to bring my Metronet eero router (has only 1 ethernet output port) out to a mesh wireless master, VoIP interface, ethernet from whole house generator and 2 ethernet runs to floors 1 and 2. The one on floor two gives ethernet connectivity to desktop, printer and 3rd mesh backhaul. These are solid, continuously on - just dependable.

Simple and It Works, No Fuss
It works. Just plug everything in turn on the power switch and it does exactly what it's supposed to. No fussy user interface, no stupid app, or other nonsense. Such a relief to hook something up and have it work without stress. That is a very rare thing these days. Ran a speed test and it doesn't slow any device down. Also compliant with Cisco's ultra picky AnyConnect VPN and ISE. That is to say it didn't cause any errors or network security issues. Robust, simple metal case that can be mounted. All around just what I wanted.

so much tech for the money
GS108 arrived on time and I followed the quick set up guide by making all connections and then applying electricity and bam! everything worked. My internet comes from one dsl switch in the far corner of the house which supplies internet through one cat 5e cable to the upstairs and one cat 5e cable to the side of the house where all the electronic gadgets are actually used. My problem was that the cable HD set top box/dvr would not work properly unless connected directly to the one cat 5e cable direct from the main switch, leaving no Ethernet connection on this side of the house for anything else. I wanted my wifi router to be closer to the middle of the house, not in a far corner. Before finding the gs108 switch I had tried using a TP-link Ethernet switch (set top box connected but would not change channels) and a TP-link powerline Ethernet adapter (set top box worked with regular freezing on the TV). I am done running cables through walls or under floors, so my solution was to connect the gs108 to the one cable supplying internet, then connect the set top box then a Nighthawk wifi router and the TP-link powerline Ethernet adapter (might as well—I already have it). Now everything is working properly. The cranky set top box is operating with none of the freezing TV I had been experiencing. The Nighthawk R6700 smart router (awesome) and the TP link powerline adapter are kicking out wifi to a dozen gizmos upstairs, downstairs and out in the yard with no reduction in speed or strength. Note: pay attention to your patch cable—I did have slow speed from the router until I switched out some cable. Mediabridge from Amazon has worked well for me. The powerline adapter wouldn’t be needed but it works well and will be a temporary fix should the switch or the router fail. For me this switch is a great solution for increasing Ethernet connections without limiting performance or laborious set up. It appears I should be set for whatever tech equipment might be added in the future, and I’m not paying my isp $10/month for managed wifi. I recommend it highly.

Simple and easy switch to use
Really like the build, sturdy housing. Basically plug and play, no options to adjust, no logging in or signing up for anything. Quiet and manages network as expected, no delays or disconnects, fan of Netgear, usually solid products. Would recommend and buy again.
