Q: Is it made from real leather from dead animal bodies that rots and smells?

It says that it is bonded leather. I've included a definition for Bonded leather so that you can decide. For the record, it feels like fake leather and does not hold up very well. Bonded leather is actually a mix of both real and fake leather. It is made from the leftover scraps and fibers made from processing genuine leather mixed with a polyurethane binder. These fibers are then rolled together using adhesives to bond them onto a paper backing. Some manufacturers may add an additional coating of polyurethane to the bonded leather and emboss it so it has the texture of real leather. Most bonded leather is comprised of only 10-20% genuine leather.

I don't know. We had no wish to return it.

Q: Is the stitching on the edmonton big/tall executive chair black, as shown, or is it white? also is the wood reddish (like cherry/mahogany) as shown?

I didn't buy the black chair. I bought the brown. The wood was reddish on mine and the stitching was the color of the upholstery. Beware though, after a year or two the leather looking stuff that's bonded to a white fabric backing starts to peel off. That being said, it really was a comfortable chair.
