Long lasting and vivid if used properly
This guy works really well, especially if the item that you are washing is brand new and has not been contaminated with fabric softener. The colors are very vivid and last a long time.

Worked well; pretty easy!
I overdyed a brownish red wool dress with Fire Red Jacquard dye and it turned out SO PRETTY!!! I don't do well with orangy shades and this one on top makes it more of a plummy red and much prettier (IMHO). It was pretty easy using the stovetop method.

Pricey but worth it, a perfect red for dyeing wool and alpaca, silk too
I use this shade of red very often. I use acid dye (activated by the mordant you choose, acidic like household vinegar or powdered citric acid, the main ingredient of kool-aid.) to custom color my fibers for spinners. This shade, Fire Red, is indispensable. I also use the Country Classics brand of dye, but for a nice warm tomato red, I add this color by Jacquard. The only reason that I'm giving this less than five stars is the price. I can easily use up half of this size container when mixing up my dye stock. I also use kool-aid and Wilton's gel colors for my acid dyeing. (This type of preparation works best with protein fibers like wool and silk, and it does a beautiful job on undyed firestar (superfine nylon, adds a bit of sparkle). You can use the "acid" dyes like this one for other fibers too. Just change your mordants to those compatible with plant fibers like cotton and linen. (Instead of vinegar or citric acid, use a small amount of soda ash.) My other tip is this: try dyeing your wool top or roving in a very low oven. I soak my wool in lukewarm water with just a few drops of blue Dawn dish soap. Squeeze out only the excess water, it's important to keep the fiber wet. The dye travels much faster through wet fiber free of lanolin (alpaca doesn't have any). I apply my dyestock, wrap my fibers in heavy plastic wrap and then heavy aluminum foil. Bake in a big casserole dish, covered, in 225 degree oven for one hour, 90 minutes max. Allow the wrapped fibers to cool very slowly, then rinse very gently. My wool stays incredibly soft.

Color is vibrant!
Dyed my mother's old baby blue cashmere to lilac and it turned out beautiful. Super easy. I used some salt to set the color.

Very pinkish-red
There were 2 stickers covering the label which happens to have the instructions. It wasn't possible to remove the stickers effectively. For some reason I had a hellacious time finding instructions online. The pdf file on their website kept errors out. So I don't know if I dyed the right way or not. I was expecting a more ruby toned red, and this is VERY pink. Not what I was looking for. Think about dying Easter eggs and using the reddish pink tablet. That is this.

Best quality
Jacquard dyes are very potent and long lasting. The only dye I will use for my handmade and handspun items. From Wool to Cottons, just follow directions carefully and you will have success.

Sieht nach Kürbis aus. Ein klein bisschen matter als erwartet. Das Material ist naturfarbener Kaschmir. Verwendet habe ich fast die ganze Packung.

Great depth of colour. Mine came out more of an Antique gold ,than the colour shown on the picture of the review above. Mixed with some chestnut acid dye ,it looked stunning.I'm very happy and would therefore recommend this colourway.Delivery was quick. 😊

this product has to be used when washing fabric at 90°C! how can you use it on wool/cotton/silk...clothes? their size will decrease. I have bought another brand that can be used ato 40°C

Conforme à mes attentes. Expédition relativement rapide pour un produit venant des Etats-Unis. Très facile d'utilisation. Achat à renouveler lorsque je n'aurai plus de produit, et à prendre en coloris plus varié encore.

Ordered 2 products recently. Took over a month received. One is wrong color and another one has been opened only 1/3 filled. Took half of the cost for shipping to return. Very disappointed.
