Works
This stuff does work, how long for I don't know time will tell. Bought for my partners car as she was losing water somewhere, I put this in following the ideal procedure water out, engine flush, and adding back into the system, allowing to circulate round the engine. She's not lost any coolant upto now and its been over a week. Was very sceptical being a 40 quid bottle over what could be an expensive repair job but upto now it seems to have done what it needs to.

Drain out your red antifreeze
Most important you will get a horrible gel if you don’t drain and flush with fresh water. Worked well for a season, stopped pressurisation. Signs now that it may be wearing off. Still, I’m prepared for an annual bottle as sooo much cheaper than a head gasket job on a banger

A final option, still working.
Had head gasket replaced, which cured coolant leak into oil for about 1 month only, and cost £860. Flushed system and added Steel Seal 9 weeks ago, and all is still good at present. Wish I had just done this the first time, and saved myself the £860.

Highly recommend
This stuff worked for about 6-7 months when I contacted the seller (steal seal) they where more than happy to stick to there policy of lifetime guarantee and after I sent in proof of purchase and a claims form they sent out a new bottle. I will recommend this product to anyone in a sticky situation and needs a quick fix for there head gasket. My

Almost worked
I wasn't sure if this would work as I was losing about 170ml of coolant a day and had water in the oil. I used this product as directed, took it for a few miles drive, let the engine cool and topped up with water to the fill line. I checked the coolant level after a few days and it was ever so slightly below the fill line. I can still smell exhaust fumes inside the cabin when idling which suggests that exhaust gases are seeping into the heater matrix so it hasn't fixed it fully but I think it may have bought me a little time. I'm scrapping the car soon anyway I just need it to survive another few months until I can afford another car.
