Great for a 2nd line of defense.
This is identical to K9 Advantix II. This product works great for my dog, but then again my dog's skin doesn't have severe reactions to permethrin. Permethrin is extremely deadly when used incorrectly. For instance undiluted permethrin spray used on goats with direct skin contact will send a goat into nervous system failure within 2-4 minutes. They loose control over their bladder. Their back legs shutdown. The goat will continuously stretch out long and it's legs get wobbly and their steps get very uncoordinated. If the permethrin isn't removed from the goat's body with soap that has sulfates in it, in order to break down the molecule structure compounds of the permethrin, then the goat will go into seizures and die. If permethrin can do all of that to a goat, just imagine what it can do to your dog. If permethrin is used properly and dosed correctly it has proven to be very safe and effective, compared to many pesticides used on livestock and pets. Please, when testing any pesticide product on your pet, only test a small penny size area to start. Just like you don't slather your face in a new unknown facial cleanser or cream due to possible skin reactions, you don't go pouring pesticide products on your dog's skin if they have never been introduced to the product prior before. Common sense goes a long way. Personally, this product works wonders for my English Mastiff. This isn't a fix all product though. If your dog already has fleas or ticks they need removed with a few baths soaked in Dawn dish liquid original. This product will NOT remove or kill off a current infestation. I know what the product claims, but as a goat farmer who has actually worked with undiluted permethrin; which is the active ingredient in this product, there isn't nearly enough permethrin in this product to kill off a full blown tick of flea infestation. This product is a good deterrent and keeps pests from wanting to bite and start a infestation. If you apply this to your dog and get a odd reaction within the first 5 minutes, then you should react VERY quickly. Use a soap with sulfates in it, such as Dawn Dish liquid original. Use cold water also to stop the skin pours from opening up and enlarging, which would allow more of the pesticide residue into the blood stream. Scrub and wash the affected skin area, vigorously. Do not toss water on or dunk the affected area. By not scrubbing the pesticide residue away from the skin and minimizing the effect of it soaking in deeper past the dermal layer, you're only wasting precious time. Scrub, scrub, scrub. I've used permethrin for a long time as a goat farmer. Around and in my barns. In our milking area and on our milking stands. In chicken coops and duck houses. In our buck barn and around common areas in the pasture. Also use it in our basement to keep out hundreds of pests. This product is a good product, but never let your guard down. Always be looking for ticks, fleas, mites, lice, etc. Do your best to minimize exposure, period. This product is for 2nd line of defense. This product is NOT a cure all fix all, 1st line of defense kinda product. But then again neither are the real expensive Rx script chewable tablets either. Been there, done that.

Advectra not working
My 2 dogs have been battling fleas for a few mths w natural flea collars & remedies that worked temporarily. The Advectra began working in a few days & they have been flea free for 3 wks, HOWEVER, fleas have returned to their bodies. I put 3/4 of a container back on both of them as they were besides themselves. I have bombed the house twice + had pest control out. I need to switch product!

Worked as well as others
This flea treatment works some. When applying it I found a flea between his shoulder blades, the medication was put directly on the flea, bit did not kill it. I removed the flea and killed in dish soap. His scratching has reduced, and I haven't found any more fleas, so that's a plus

Work just the the expensive one
Worked just as well as the name brand for flea control for good value. Does have a slight odor that isn't appealing, but then again it is pesticide. Package was intact with no leaking. Didn't experience and skin irritation on dogs that usually have skin allergies.

Extremely effective
My two small dogs were literally eat up with fleas. Everything i tried just seemed to work mediocre at best, almost helped slightly more than a day or so at worst. Put this on my dogs at about midnight and by the next morning they had both stopped biting and scratching on themselves completely. Next to i need it i will subscribe to regular shipments.

terrible. & now I have to wait to treat my new rescue puppy with something that actually works
terrible product. did not kill or repell anything. two doses two weeks apart & now both of my dogs have fleas. it's caused significantly more itching than was occuring when we brought him home. now that he's had two doses in two weeks - we cannot treat him again for at least a month or risk terrible skin irritation. so our only recourse to make our dogs comfortable is regular dawn baths which is also not good for their skin either. we have treated the house. bedding. ozone generator. bomb. spray. loads of laundry and bedding washed & left in the sun to dry for 48 hours...the whole 9 yards. i understand it is a process to rid the whole life cycle & i have had to do so in the past with my first rescue, so, ive had experience with this nightmare before... but this just did nothing at all. arguably make my new little rescue pup more irritated. :( if I could rate this 0 stars, I would. you know what they say about you get what you pay for. as such is true here. don't make the same mistake I did & purchase this treatment because it's a great price... I now have two poor dogs who are very uncomfortable & it's my fault. please just pay for the good name brand stuff that's tried & true โฆ. this isn't it. heed my caution or not but your fluff may pay the consequences... if it works for your dog then I am super happy for you that you get to save a few dollars lol but for me - not one BUT TWO dogs had absolutely zero effect or the results as they're advertised for this product. .. this is just my own experience with this product - yours may be different, but unfortunately nothing good came from this product for us. & as for other negative reviews - please if you are planning to leave one - make sure youve followed all steps required to address a flea infestation before negatively reviewing this product.

Happy dog happy home
So I was dumbfounded when I asked Alexa which is the very best brand of scientific medicine for my small dog she said this one here so I bought it right away and Alexa was right no please no ticks no mosquito bites. And it doesn't have a strong smile with and it's not like a whole lot of liquid it's just a couple of drops which is another thing that I like no others I've with the whole dog with the amount that they put in that bottle this one is just a little couple of drops I like that
