Good thing to have for your emergency kit and as a fill in with meals.
This was purchased on a whim, had never seen dehydrated refried beans before. Seems to be a useful thing to have for the emergency kit or in the pantry as something to pull out to add to a meal, which is what will be happening to this. I have purchased from this company before and they make quality products. Their soup mix is also handy to have on hand. Their products are easy to use, either soak depending on what it is or add directly into what your making. From the directions dehydrated beans are fairly easy to re-constitute and use. If these are like what I have used in the past, the taste is not that off from regular well mashed refried beans, the texture is off tho, so if you have issues with texture, it might be a problem. but hay, a nice pile of refrieds with melted cheese on top, next to some good rice and enchiladas or tacos or other favorites is a great meal. Enjoy.

Wow. Simple, easy, delicious. I'm thrilled. I was looking for a way to cold soak refried beans and rice to make delicious, easy backcountry meals and these are awesome.

Overpriced
You can buy other products similar to this for about half the price. I remember many years ago Fantastic Foods had a product similar to this which was much tastier than this one. I would never purchase this product again.
