Easy to handle, weightless to move, discrete on the hitch and car looks.
It works perfectly and as advertised, 14 pounds/approx 7kg, sturdy, easy to install and move around. The support and hold mechanism grabs the bike perfectly without scratching it, one strap added to the front wheel to avoid it spinning or moving around as you cruise would do it for. I would recommend a lock for the hitch pin or put it in the trunk to avoid being robbed if you park the car on remotes areas to cycle from.Happy with it. 10+.

Well-designed and a tight fit.
This lighter unit is so much easier to handle than the heavier tray models. The KUAT racks are well-designed and fit the hitch nice and tight, no rattles.

This is the light weight two bike rack you want.
I looked and looked, but this is the near-perfect two-bike rack.- It's super sturdy but fairly light.- Very well made/ sophisticated design.- No Assembly.- The lower hitch bar flips up when not in use to make it easy to store.- Excellent ValueNote- This is for a 2 Inch style hitch only (measure the opening of your hitch receiver)- It does not come with a locking style pin to lock to your car but you can buy one from a third party I think.

This is the two bike rack you want
I am an older dude. I have had bike racks for over 30 years. They all suffer from rust, loose fits that clang and sway as well as being too heavy. This rack is the solution. It can't rust. It is light (I can install it with one hand). It is rigid because each join has a screw stop to take out play in the joint. Even the fit into the receiver is tightened with a screw. It stows away into my CRV when folded (think of taking your bikes to your vacation spot then putting the rack away after they are unloaded).Customer Service: I broke a strap in my first three months of usage. A simple phone call and one is in the mail. The straps are modular, the release from the frame in seconds and can be replaced easily. What could you do to make it better: The rack won't move on the vehicle, but the bikes may. Affix the bikes firmly with a strap or cord to keep them from moving for and aft as you accelerate and brake.

Lightweight but seems Sturdy
Bought "used" and it was missing the two tension knobs and hitch pin. Was able to order the knobs directly from Kuat. Very light weight but seems sturdy. Pretty easy to install on hitch. The holders (and straps) are hard plastic vs rubber and get kinda mashed up and deformed when bike hangs on it, so need to use some padding, but so far so good as far as transporting two bikes.

Compact, Sturdy, and Doesn't Rattle!
Wow I love this rack! Getting into riding again after many years I started shopping for a bike rack for the ol' Highlander. I wanted a compact hitch mount solution that could easily be removed and not take up lots of room in the car or in my apartment.Doing lots of research it seemed like Kuat had a good reputation, so I sprang for this even though it was more expensive than many other options. It was a good move. The rack has a wedge design that locks it tightly into your hitch receiver by turning a knob. All pivot points have nylon-tipped thumbscrews to lock them in place. The bicycle attachment points are sturdy and the straps lock down tight. This means that it's ROCK SOLID. Nothing rattles in transport. Bikes can sway a little, but not very much. The finish is a nice heavy powder coat, and the frame of the unit is aluminum, so it's lightweight. It's easy to fold up into a compact, flat package that will stow in a trunk or cargo area easily.I'm very impressed with the design and construction. It's clear that a ton of thought went into every aspect. I haven't figured out how to lock my bike onto the rack, but I haven't really given it much thought yet. My 35 year old Miyata 610 probably isn't high on the most wanted list. If I buy a newer more expensive ride I'll have to figure something out. I do lock the rack to the car with a locking hitch pin, so at least my rack won't get stolen!
