Delicious dates for middle eastern pastries
The date paste was delivered timely and with an expiration date more than a year and a half in advance. I used these for making Ka'ak with Ajwa and maamoul. For reviews that mention this is sticky, stiff, and difficult to work with, yes it is, because it is just pure dates semi-mashed. It's much easier than pitting the dates yourself. To make the pastries, I add a little olive oil and cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, and is a huge time saver, and easier to work with. Dates themselves are not inexpensive, so I find the price to be fair. Ziyad products are difficult to find locally, so I would definitely buy this again.

This worked out great for my baking needs and saved me time by not having to make date paste myself. Great texture and taste.

Tasty but Overpriced
The date paste tastes great and the quality is good, but the price is far too high for what you get. At half the price, it would be worth purchasing. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.
