I love this tool and use it every day. My only criticism is that I really have to hyper extend my hand to get it around the handle and I have long hands. If you have small hands, you might have trouble with this tool.

Works great. I have even used it (as seldom as possible) on hard wires like stainless steel. Clearly designed for soft wires of heavy gauge. (In order for the loop to hold.)

Nah,I'll do it the old school way
Not sure what the fuss is all about. I thought these would be a great way to speed up my beading but not so.First, don't bother with the 1.5mm size as they are very small loops. So small they pass right through some beads. The 3mm is better for a basic loop if you have to have this.BUT, here's the thing, you don't get a perfectly round loop. You get an open oval. You still have to use pliers to turn it a smidge to close it. I can understand them leaving it open to attach, but getting the loop to look even when you close it is a chore as you are both closing it and moving it to the other side to meet. No matter how many times you do it, you will never get a closed loop. Also, I'm right handed and this is awkward to use because to see the gadget gear thing it has to be in my left hand. The loops are not as circular as in the pictures. You'd do better simply practicing loops by watching a youtube video repeatedly (there are many). And just practicing. And if you do wrapped loops, it's even awkwarder.I have some wooden mandrels (dowels) in various sizes from Beadsmith that range from about 1/4" to 1", and cost about $5. I use these for when I want to do bigger loops that are similar. You can wrap a loop on them just like with this looper just using pliers. Wubbers also makes a nice mandrel for round loops that are larger. The larger, the more complexFor these small loops, this is just overkill
