Madhu Stainless Steel Iron Tawa, Black, 1 Piece

I have used the tawa to make chapatis, parathas and even dosas. It works great, but you have to keep in mind a few things to make it work optimally -1. coat it lightly with oil - I use 3 or 4 drops of cooking oil and smear it with a tiny piece of tissue paper2. heat up the tawa really well before you place the dosa batterAfter washing, again apply a thin coat of oil, otherwise it will rust.Overall, happy with the product as I know that there are no toxic chemicals, the product is well designed and quite inexpensive.

Nice tawa. I have ordered thrice one for me already and twice at my native palce. It is very heavy and sturdy tawa with nice iron gauge.Iron Tawa which you buy from local shops are not of good one as i have already bought, waste of money.Was looking for iron tawa from quite long time. Order this keeping my finger crossed and it was good one.Need to seasoned this tawa properly initially with onion and oil, then you can prepare nice chapatis on it. Better than non stick which i have already used more than 10 as non stick coat goes off.Also have used hard anoidised tawa for which base is aluminium, even it is pathetic to make chapatis, so madhu iron tawa is really good. One should definitely go for this, if you know and love to use iron, as i am, quite important for health.

Quality is good, well seasoned, dia is 9.5 inces which is little bit small for dosas but ideal for omlette, Roti & Chapathi.Part 2 of review after using for 1 month:Actually doesn't work for me, food gets burnt in the middle very fast. Thickness is not enough. Not using anymore.

This is concave tawa but they supplied me flat tawa. Good thing is Amazon organised a return pickup on the very next day without any hassle.Although they supplied wrong tawa but the quality of tawa looked great. It isn't too heavy neither too light. Flat tawa is not good for chapatis that why is why I returned. The flat one is more suitable for dosa.

Excellent product.This is NOT the "nonstick" tawa with teflon coating, made of aluminium.Its A sturdy tawa , made of thick iron sheet, without any coating on it. So it's healthy too. Ideal for chapattis / roti. The concave profile is just right.In my experience, nonstick Tawas made of aluminium tend to bend/ warp after few days of use, if used for making chappathis / rotis. The non stick coatings go off too when heated to roti making temperatures. Steel Handle is very sturdy too. Its Fixed with four thick rivets.

Madhu tawa is perfect for Indian kitchen. Easy handling in chapati and paratha preparations. Good material heats up the tawa quickly, but handle remains cool. Weight is proper and comfortable to use.Cleaning is quick and easy. Price compared to the ones available locally is a little higher but this tawa is far superior on all counts.we are happy with its purchase and we are sure all those who buy it will be happy too.

It looks good. But it get burnt too quickly. My Chapati and parathas get burn on medium flame on this tawa and if I lower the flame they get uncooked. So I am not so happy with this a bit disappointed :(

A sturdy and really heavy dosa tava. Trust me it's good and as long as you care for it right, it will last you good.The dosa tastes absolutely delicious and just like dosa should with this.However, the finish could have been better ... the handle has a heat-resistant patch that's just the right size .. but any slip you might end up holding the metal ... that's my one complaint with this tava. If they fix it, nothing like it.
