5/5 for me. It has a slow menu just like their TVs, but I love the image quality and portability. Bluetooth and wifi work great. Highly recommended. Make sure you calibrate it; there are quite a lot of settings you should change from the factory defaults. Input latency isn't super great for serious competitive, twitchy gaming but it's totally fine for everything else as long as you calibrate it and eliminate input latency everywhere else in the chain of your setup. It's much easier to clean and move around than a big heavy TV. I found a folding tripod for it which weighs less than a pound, and a cheap white folding photography panel works great as a portable, lightweight projection screen. I'm very pleased with the projector after several hundred hours of use. It's one of my best purchases. LG makes awesome stuff.

Disappointing Performance for the Price I had high expectations for the LG CineBeam S PU615U 4K UHD Ultra Short Throw Smart Projector, but after using it, I’ve been pretty disappointed overall. First, the picture quality drops noticeably as the screen size increases. The farther the projector is placed from the wall, the dimmer the image becomes. Whites look more gray than white, which really hurts image quality—especially for a product marketed as premium. I also assumed projecting onto a wall would cause less eye strain than watching an LED TV, but I’ve actually experienced the opposite. Watching the projected image strains my eyes more, which was an unexpected and frustrating downside. The user interface is extremely laggy. Navigating menus and apps feels slow and outdated. It’s disappointing that LG didn’t upgrade this model with faster, more modern software—it feels like corners were cut. The remote control is another major letdown. Since the projector really needs a dark room to look decent, using a tiny, non-backlit remote makes no sense. It’s hard to see what you’re pressing. A larger, lighted remote should have been standard at this price point. Finally, the auto centering feature is finicky and unreliable. Sometimes the image shifts angles on its own for no clear reason, which is extremely annoying and defeats the purpose of having an automatic alignment feature. Overall, this projector has potential on paper, but the real-world experience doesn’t justify the cost. Between the dim image, laggy UI, poor remote design, and unreliable auto centering, I can’t recommend it unless these issues are addressed.

Waste of time and that includes both the product and LG support. Could not get it to log into our Wi-Fi which is based on T-Mobile wireless. Also tried hotspot - no luck. Tried over 34 times. Plus the remote added to the frustration - very sluggish. This is an Alpha product at best.

Such a good product ruined by its operating system. It’s blotted, slow and uses old technology for remote. I tried using roku stick. That worked well. But then I realized i am paying $1300 for this. I should not be hacking around to make this work. Their hardware and software departments need to talk to each other more.

This is a great projector, as long as you recognize and accept it's limitations. First off, the negatives mentioned in other reviews are true, namely the UI is very slow and auto picture adjustments don't work well. I have this connected to a Shield TV Pro, so the slow UI is not an issue. And, once you have the picture set to your liking, just turn off the auto adjustment feature. You'll also want to connect an external speaker as the built-in one is quite bad. But actually, I'm glad LG didn't add extra weight by going with a better speaker, since I always use my own Bluetooth one anyway. But despite the negatives, here's the reason why I say this is a great projector - the picture quality! Of course, it needs to be in a dim/dark room, but it really is quite stunning, especially for a unit this size. If you need a small and portable ultra short throw unit with native 4k resolution, there's currently nothing else out there, and this fits my needs perfectly. Oh and one more plus - it's made in Korea!

This is an awesome tv but three things need to be noted. 1) you have to position it further from the wall than you’d think to have a large screen (about 1-2ft depending on preference. 2) the power of the remote sucks. You have to be real close (within 3 ft) for the remote to work. I’m assuming there are brand new batteries in here so I don’t get why the connection is so weak. 3) the power of brightness is not that strong if your room is not pitch black. Even a little bit of light can overpower the screen and you can’t watch what you want. I have to always make sure my window blinds are completely closed to make sure the room is as dark as possible. Other than that, I love this tv. Just sucks during the times of the year where the sun doesn’t go down until like 830pm.

Very cool little box! So far impressed by the features and options. It took a bit for us to figure out the settings and setup. We are not home entertainment technology professionals but this has worked great. Especially like the screen flip feature, we can place the projector behind the screen and it flips around to project as if it was sitting in front of the screen. Good for use of space in our home. Sound quality leaves something to be desired but we connected it via Bluetooth to a speaker and love it! Have it connected to Apple TV usually but have used it from apple phone too and it played the entire program.

I want to love it but it’s got two big limitations: 1: only one hdmi input - I was hoping the USB-C input could also take video but it doesn’t. It’s only for reading - which is such a missed opportunity. What this means pragmatically: you can’t have a Sonos connected via ARC (or any way actually) while having an input like Apple TV or a gaming system. 2: it’s daylight performance is really bad. It’s not usable in the daytime. Pros: great during night time it does look great. Audio is good enough to hear but not movie quality audio. People said the OS sucks, but it’s not that bad. It’s a laggy but not awful. It’s very small. There’s something cool about a small short throw projector. FYI photo I uploaded is with my blinds down with some sunlight creeping in.
