Anker does it again!
What's not to say, Anker has done it again. I purchased this to replace a old Dell dock that keep dropping the monitors.Set up was easy. It worked right out of the box. It helped clearing up some of the mess of cables I had under my desk.Love the charging ports on the front of the unit aslo.

The Luxury Car of Laptop Docks
First let me clear up my concern in getting this dock: it actually works fine without the software. So that's good.I think this dock is like a luxury car it looks great, does the job (mostly), and has lots of featured to play with. It's got a great port layout, plenty of options to see power draw and check display modes, and it is managed by some decent software. What's the downside? Well I can't seem to get it to supply enough current to keep my gaming laptop at full tilt indefinitely. Not sure if that's a laptop issue or a dock issue. But on a deeper level like a luxury car there are a ton of toys to play with here but they aren't really necessary and it wouldn't shock me if I never touch them after next week.Still it's hard for me not to smile every time it plays a little animation to remind me that I have a 4k monitor. So unnecessary but I kind of like it despite myself.

Another winner from Anker, solid product.
Anker just makes GREAT products, but this review is about THIS product. This thing looks and feels amazing. It's built like a tank, feel solid and weighty in the hand. It feels like it's built to last. This isn't the reason for the five stars though. The 5 stars is because it just works. It's super simple with plug and play. Everything works just as you'd expect it to.One caveat I will point out is that to get the display outputs, your computer must have a compatible USB-C port with display port capability. Newer laptops/pcs are likely to have this, but it's worthwhile to check, especially important if you want to drive those extra displays. The last thing I'll mention is the display, which is awesome and the little knob on the side for navigating it. I never knew I needed a display on my docking station but now I can't live without it!

100% recommend! so useful for ALL our gadgets these days!
this family LOVES Anker - we have so many of their stuff, from charging blocks.. to cables... to power bricks and even their sub-brand Eufy.. when this came up I was sooo excited. all of their stuff are quality made and so functional!coincidentally I was searching for something to help my partner connect his Mac to dual screens - and with display link it worked - it just worked! nothing too complicated - literally a plug and play.I think Anker stuff are a value for money - some might think its a wee expensive but you pay for what you get really.no lag and sufficient ports for charging needs if desired.100% recommend! looks great on the desk also!

Great all in one dock!
Anker's done it again - this dock out of the box just 'worked'. I hooked it up to my X1 Carbon Gen13, and got display, charging, and network capability out of the box. Works just fine with my Alienware OLED display, and working on a big screen is so much nicer. Can also confirm that I get PD charging from the front also - charging my phone and other devices. Having an all-in-one hub is ideal for working on-the-go and then going home. Haven't noticed any real fan noise yet, but I haven't played with the settings too into depth yet. Unboxing experience is also super premium, as you'd expect from Anker.

A docking station with an impressive array of capabilities
This is certainly the most powerful (and most expensive) docking station I've ever owned. I ordered it to replace a not-so-old Dell docking station whose capabilities have become insufficient to effectively support my elaborate office setup. This new station has more than sufficient capabilities to eliminate the octopus of cabling my old setup had become. My only complaint is the lack of printed documentation, although the on-line video is adequate.
