You can install it anywhere, but please clean the place to be installed before installing, then put the cob led tape on a clean, dry, smooth surface, otherwise it will affect the viscosity. COB led strip lights is best for diffuser cover or aluminous housing works well to help spread the light more evenly and reduce light spots .for optimal thermal management. Thanks for your question, COB led strip watt 10W/meter ,the total wattage is :50W. You need an external power supply with enough power, i.e. for 24V/50W, or 24V/60W etc. Please note that this tape is a two-end outlet, not a DC head outlet, you can buy the 24V COB led strip 2700K warm white set (ASIN：B0B75F8TPR) from my store,it is quite easy to install.any dimmer can match this COB strip light. if have any question let us know it. Dear Amazon customer, thanks for your question.  COB led strip watt 10W/meter ,the total wattage is :50W. You need an external power supply with enough power, i.e. for 24V/50W, or 24V/60W etc. any dimmer can match this COB strip light.MLV and ELV drivers both are good, it depends on what kind of type you would like. MLV is a Silicon controlled rectifier power. ELV is PWM/ 0~10V power, if you only need the strip to lighting, can use the DC24V power supply, if need to be ajustable to light, you need dimmer match with ELV/ MLV driver Hopefully can help you.
