The Textbook of Taekwondo Poomsae : With DVD

Despite the name "with DVD", not all sellers provide a DVD with the book. I had to return the initial purchase for a refund and an waiting for another seller to actually provide a copy with the DVD. As far as the book is concerned, it is a definitive guide to Poomsae, so is invaluable. However, subtleties in the poomsae are constantly being changed so any book is at best a snapshot of the poomsae at the moment.

I bought the Textbook of Taekwondo Poomsae and its accompanying DVD for my 14 year old son who is a red belt in TKD. He has been studying the forms in the book and DVD and think they are a great way to pick up some of the finer points in the forms he already knows and is currently learning. He is also having fun trying some of the higher black belt forms just to see what will be coming in the future, and he plans to use it to help him design creative forms for competition. He says he thinks it is really useful and highly recommends it.

Great book

Our family has just started Taek. We love the clear pictures and clear instructions. We also purchased The Explanation of Official Taekwondo Poomsae' That book is similar to this one however 'The textbook of Taekwondo poomsae' has an easy to follow video.

Great reference book for Tae kwondo. As a 3rd Dan Assistant instructor, it is a great resource.The only thing it is missing is that we still do the Palgwe patterns, and this book doesn't have this. Taeguk and black belt patterns only
